Im an 80's Kids but i watched like half of the series and came across the dvd this weekend. For those who do not know, Sankukai is based on the japanese cult movie Message From space is which was the japanese response to yes you guessed it Stars wars.27 episodes starring the incredible Hiroyuki Sanada (rushour 3, the last samurai, 47 ronin etc...) aka badasssss, the series was created by the late Shotaro Ishinomori (kamen rider kuuga, voicelugger etc...).a Japanese TV series written by Shotaro Ishimori, co-produced by Toei Company and TV Asahi and aired on TV Asahi from July 8, 1978 to January 27, 1979, with a total of 27 episodes.check it out for good times if you havent already and if you know the series did you like it?

Isn't SanKuKai the French title for Ginga Taisen? Also the show is also known as MegaloMan... or so I remember.

I thought Megaloman was that show with the dude that looked like an ultra with '80s hair metal hair and a rapier?

Anyway, this show looks fun. I had no idea Message from Space got a TV show. I doubt it has an subs, so does it have decent JP RAWs?

Yeah, that is Megaloman, he has nothing to do with the message from space series.

There's A French, Italian, and Japanese DVD release of the message from space series. There's also an English dubbed spliced together film version of the first few episodes, it was released on VHS in the 80s
