Redeemed villains vs. Evil Bastards

I like my bad guys to be no good unrepenteant motherfuckers who smile at the suffering of others.

No fence straddling.

Must plain no good needs to be put down once and for all.... motherfuckers.

Sephiroth.... now there's a bad guy I would love to hate and would love to hate me.

Ain't no thang.

It's at the bottom of the page when you first make a thread. Ya gotta check the box saying, "Make this a poll" or something.

I'll remember next time.
Thanks!
But back to the subject.
How about Dr. Kempu? Seemingly he was loyal to Bias to the end and then Megumi comes up, tries to talk Bias out of his grand plan and then Kempu decides to suck up what he had just given him. Does that count as redemption or just selfishness?

Well, the three Volt officers weren't really the traditional tokusatsu villain, since they were human and there were moments where their humanity could be shown. Kenji/Kempu started off as just a normal guy with a superiority complex, aiming higher and higher (remaining unfulfilled), becoming seduced by Bias and his promises to free him from the restrictions Kenji felt was keeping him from reaching his true genius.

I don't think it was a redemption, I think he was just like all of the people who Bias betrayed and lied to turning on him and reclaiming themselves. He didn't do it to benefit the Liveman, even if it did end up helping their cause.

I like it when villains are at least given a chance at redemption but turn it down an example of this is Radiguet, he's basically a mix of Satan and an internet troll. However, when Empress Juza arrived and turned him human and when he healed that girl, you would think that it would give Radiguet a chance to pull a Heel Face Turn and redeem himself for the things he did while being a Vyram member, yet he remained evil to his rotten asshole core. That means i like it when they tease a turn away from the dark side but like it more when it never happens.

I think in only a matter of a few hours, Sentaifan'07 Xman will have revived every thread ever at HJU.

KARAOKE PARTY!
