So what's this again? Can you be more clear? The animation IS very good. It matches the original animation style perfectly without trying to "improve" on it. But what is this, exactly? That sounds really weird to make a movie that takes place during episode 6, what's so special about that?
ok I just read the Wiki page: So a complete retelling of the story in 4 movies and ANOTHER god damned new ending. *groan* I liked the original endings, personally. It made you think and you know what? It was psychologically profound. I felt like I understood Shinji completely, to an extent in the movie. His reactions, alternate realities of what might have happened.
This seems pretty kewl though, except how many different ways can they tell the same story and still make it fresh? We ultimately know what happens, it's just going to happen differently. Not exciting but still, I'm eager to see it. The whole deal about 4 movies isnt a fun idea to me, though. Seems like they could easily do it in less than that.
