Personally, even with the cost of the "cheapest" individual plan, you could still use the money to buy yourself a half-decent laptop as well as a half-decent phone and STILL have money left over to take your GF on a date.

I personally don't see what all the excitement is about with the iPhone. I guess Apple has grounded themselves so much into the minds of the masses that people just go crazy over anything they do.

Whatever happened to just having a phone to ... you know ... make phone calls! Do i really need to be able to watch Youtube videos and listen to MP3 files on my cell phone? Let alone pay upwards of a thousand dollars just to be able to?

Looking at that payment plan just makes it seem all the worse.

I was going to say that's insane, but really, we're paying just under the cheapest rate there for our family plan, so the iPhone wouldn't make much of an impact aside from the initial purchase. Maybe we're just getting screwed by our provider. :laugh:

Not that that makes the iPhone look any better price-wise...

That's only if you ignore the fact that Apple stole the basic design both the hardware and of the software/user interface from the people at CREATIVE.

I agree its a tad overpriced but you know in a year or 2 the price will come down for the phone, same as always. And the price is ridiculous but it does include extra options and rollover minutes which is a nice feature I think only AT&T has. I wouldn't mind having an iphone for checking stuff on the go, but I'm not gonna run out to get one. I like my Sprint Katana phone just prime.
