Music website Absolutepunk.net reported that guitarist Casey Calvert died on November 24, 2007.[16] This is also posted on the main Hawthorne Heights website. While the exact cause of death remains unknown at this point, WTTG, the Fox affiliate in Washington, D.C. has reported that Calvert used an inhaler for acute asthma and, pending official toxicology results, this condition could have caused his death.[17][18] The official statement issued by the band says that Calvert died in his sleep and his body was discovered while the band was doing a sound check prior to a show in Detroit.
