I've been interested in modifying my Playstation Portable since I got it and recently I've learned of the Pandora battery/Magic stick combo that supposedly helps unlock homebrews.

I bought one set to try it on my system (which is an original 1001 model btw) and so far it does not appear to work; the Pandora battery seems to do nothing.

Am I doing something wrong or is my system just bad?

Can you give a little more information?
Define 'nothing' Is that nothing as in it boots normally, or nothing as in nothing happens, it won't even turn on.

A Pandora itself will not do anything *unless* you have a magic stick in when you boot. Otherwise it will just keep a blank screen.

Exactly. I put in the Pandora battery plus the Magic stick but absolutely nothing happens aside from the battery light going green. The screen stays black.

Sounds like an issue with the magic stick itself. What program did you use to create it? Most magic sticks downloaded from torrents don't work in my personal experience.

Also make sure the stick in in BEFORE you put in the battery.
