I just saw a pop-up regarding American Censorship Day. I hope the bill won't be passed. I just found out that the one who proposed the bill is the same person who proposes Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011 with Ron Paul. Ironic?

I still believe it won`t pass. That is not to say that I`m not concerned, because I am.I just think it would be one big clusterf**k that wouldn`t solve anything.

Yeah, you guys do realize this is the 4th time they attempted this in the last 2 years? It's not happening. This takes away billions from the business of Youtube, Facebook and other sites that make millions and even billions off of people and piracy. Also, there is no complaints coming from any of these video sharing sites that supports this bill which tells me they do not give a ****. They only respond to copyright clams by certain properties and it certainly isn't enough to get a bill passed.

Half of these companies do know that some piracy is harmless like TOEI for example but they also understand there is a limit to it as well.

It's not happening. Besides, there was a recent bill against streaming sites that provide links to sporting events and recently released movies and they are back up and running. I don't see how exactly this is going to be passed.

This^

Yeah. And you should fill this out, just in case:

Congress hearing is currently in session with only ONE Google representative (Catherine Oyama) for the opposition against at least 6 for the proposed. I heard that Pres. Obama would veto that bill if he landed on his desk.

One opposition? This people are not playing fair that supports it. there just to afraid so many opposition that they will do anything they can to stop it.

If Obama want to get re-elected he better, he got elected because of that internet base. just imagine if the law passed 10 years ago, media company's that support the Republican party will try to shutdown any Obama support websites and say it had copyright infringement just so that the other guy can win lol.
