Will anyone be interested in a online Kamen Rider Card Game that plays like Yugioh or with other different playing rules. The program that will allow this to happen is Yvd, a server program that usually runs online Yugioh game between players in real-time. The aim for all is to create a definite set of card types and rules that will become universal to all.
Types of cards that come to mind are:
Character - Riders / Humans / Kaijin
Tools - Weapons / Henshin / Vehicles
Support - Attacks / Misc.
Setting - Place / Time / Episodes
Possible playing/rules could be:
- Any humans can transform into certain Riders (depending on series)
- Riders gain attack boost from fighting Kaijins of their series / using their own weapons or vehicles
- Locations that boost stats of Riders from that area
- Support cards could be Rider kick variations such as "Roundhouse Kick" or "Flying Kick" with special effects. (Heck, we could even put some "Grandmother said..." cards!!!)
- Making a themed deck (e.g. Kiva Deck / Kaijin Deck / Dark Rider Deck, AU Deck, etc.)
Examples at the bottom
In order for this to happen we're going to need a team of:
- Card makers (who knows Yugioh's rules or can make up their own)
- Judges (who will playtest and evaluate cards' balance)
- Card picture makers (who will collect and/or resize various pics for the cards)
In order to make the process smoother, we could commit ourselves to making a certain set for a specific series every month (If we had a lot of people, then things could be done faster).
Hopefully, if this ends up well, Henshin Justice's community could be responsible for a well-known online Kamen Rider card game. In addition, it can promote a closer-knit grouping as well. And who knows, maybe even sentai and other tokusatsu series sets can be made.
(I don't know, but I was kind of hoping Keith could oversee and promote everything with supporting leaders for each major section. Not trying to put pressure on him or anything though.)
