PRO GEARS OF WAR GUIDE FOR THE NEWBIES

Made for all of the GoW players here

Here's a few tips , in vs mode, your priorities are in this order, first one being the highest.

1.Heal Down teammates
2.Stay in a group
3.Kill a down enemy
4.Retreat/Save your own life
5.Down a enemy

This is a plan for success always, don't believe me? fine go get the very last place in the entire world on the rankings.

Next up weapons, theres one thing I'd like to say, ONLY N00BS USE ASSUALT RIFLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHAINSAW IS THE WORST WEAPON IN THE GAME!!!!
Why? Assualt Rifle rarely downs a person, And has no Beat attack, just a Chainsaw, which sucks, why? because sure its a one hit kill but EVERYONE ELSE ON THE OTHER TEAM WILL KILL YOU, No chance of survival.

Pistol and Shotgun are your best friends, 1 full clip of a pistol can be launched all at once, and 1 full clip will instantly down a person. Which is why pistol destroys the Assualt Rifle. And when up close to a person, PUNCH THEM PUNCH THEM (unless if you have shotgun, but if your reloading just punch), IT CAUSES THEM TO DELAY, PUNCH IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, two punches=a down usually, so when up close punch them to hell. Shotgun is very powerful, at point blank instant one hit kill, I always recommend shotgun over chainsaw ALWAYS.

If you have a sniper out and its a close range battle that a shotty would be good for, DON'T SWITCH TO SHOTTY, the delay inbetween switching weapons is your death, just beat them down with sniper or shoot them.

Speaking of sniper, ONLY USE SNIPER IF YOU ARE GOOD, IF NOT LET THE GOOD SNIPER ON YOUR TEAM TAKE THE RIFLE, DON'T BE F*CKING NOOB.
How do you know if your a good sniper? well can you trick an enemy sniper into shooting you but you duck at the last minute leaving them open to a shot, can you close range sniper fight with using a punch only once? can you headshot noscoping with ease? can you headshot 80% of the time? PROBABLY NOT, my brother could, he was sniper, shot, and the only good Assualt rifle player I know, (he humps the wall while shooting which somehow gives him extra damage).

Also AIM FOR HEAD, NO MATTER WHAT GUN, headshots do more damage always.

Also you need a good partner in battles, for example, one guy to distract the enemies while the enemies are holing up in a spot, so all the enemies come out of the cover to shoot the distraction while the other guy comes up behind them with shotty, or snipes them, my brother is the sniper, and I'm the distraction (I have a good way of surviving).

Originally this was posted for GrnPsychoGarren, I'm not demanding you to follow this strategy, I am strongly suggesting >.> Besides if you don't want to constantly die, at least 1/4th of this guide should be used, basic stuff like heal down team mates, use the pistol and shotgun, all that.

Oh and about the getting a life part, I'm going to let that one slide, but if you repeat it again to me in all caps >.> consider this a warning because you don't want to unleash the beast <.< (conversation wise that is @_@)

The only reason I try to use the Lancer Rifle once in awhile is for the CHAINSAW ACHIEVEMENT ZOMG.

And, small question: When you mean pistol, do you mean the 6-shooter-looking pistol, or just any of them?

6 shooter pistol isn't that great, only use it for showing off, I mean the pistol you start with because of rapid fire, you can empty your entire clip on a person all at once if you pull the trigger fast enough, which should be very easy unless you are inept at using a 360 controller. Because the entire pistol clip will down a person, one pistol bullet does 4x as much damage as a single assault bullet, plus a target could take cover before you finish emptying your assault clip on him, the pistol clip can be launched all at once. Plus pistols have the best beat down.

And achievements don't mean anything, thats why there are so many stick grenade bitches that try to stick everyone as much as they can for the achievement but they actually suck at playing.

I forgot to mention if a guy is running at you with a Chainsaw or Grenade, this is the only time I'd recommend to switch your weapon if you don't have Shotty out, hit them with shotty, don't shoot your pistol or any other gun unless you can kill them in one shot, don't beat down either you'll die. Shotty cause delay in the opponent so it will stop their charge.

True. I like the Battle Rifle in Halo, but GOD does it suck. Only good for BXR-ing people.
