Eh. The series started off strong. My problem with it was that, after the Evil Ami saga the villains had nothing to do. They did nothing. I think the only thing they ever did was pick on Zoicite and his Piano. It seemed like everyone had to have a turn at smashing the keys and interupted Zoicite just to ramble on about what he may know and blah blah blah blah.
I really loved the humor, especially when Nephrite turned good and what have you. How he kind of had that small thing for Ami. The plots of Miho or Mio (I forget her name), It was a interesting but pretty weak plot. It started off strong but after she was thwarted, it was a really huge wonder why she was even there till the end. What purpose could she possibly have, honestly?
I really, really wanted to see more backstory on the Moon Kingdom. The graphics were great in this series and I was hoping they would do what they did in the Anime and go back and show us the story of how it went down before the final battle. And the final battle.. really dissapointing I must say. I mean Dark Endymion. Awesome concept but played out very poorly. The ending was just... weird. God dammit why cant we have a normal ending?
Anywho its been too long since I watched it. It was a good series, I dont know if I would want to watch it a second time. It really picked up towards the end with the Evil Serenity story arc. How she was growing her new powers and becoming more hateful. All that good stuff. I think it was 36 when it started? God damn best battle EVER. I mean sheeeeet man. Love love loved it. Wanted to make a music video so bad but NOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo. Damn clips wont work in MovieMaker OR Adobe! WTH.
Luna as a Sailor Senshi. Scary. Actually that had to have been the most retarded thing ever. But when she smacked Kunzite on the head with the Paper Fan. His expression towards her was priceless. It was hysterical to see that look on his face. Of "wtf?"
I guess thats it. The only thing I didnt like is that the show had pretty poor direction after the first half. I just really think they should have stuck to the original story a LITTLE more. I mean, at least kept the rainbow crystal stuff. Given the villains a better agenda. After Evil ami they didnt seem to have any agenda. Queen Beryl didnt seem to have any sort of loyalty amongst her ranks. She just stood around the entire time talking and pointing at people with her finger and then at the end just still stands there as the place crumbles down around her. Yay. Couldnt they have given her a chair? A crystal ball like in the anime? Cmon! Cmawn! Cmawwwwwon! Cinnamawn!
It was a pretty kewl series though. I really hoped for a second season or series. I would LOVE to see them adapt SailorMoon R! My fucking god. The orgasm I would have seeing Wise Man! Rubius! Diamond! Sapphire! All there in live action. Good lord that would be the most bad ass thing ever. WiseMan has to be my favorite villain.. EVER. In any show or series. I love the guy. He had a wicked voice in Sailor Moon (English version) and was so vile and decietful and trecherous. He was mysterious. His motifs were shrowded in darkness and he became so powerful it took two silvercrystals to bring him down. And the way Sapphire died.. god damn I wanted to cry. I hated the way they made Rubius die in the anime though. I like it better in the Manga with Wiseman doing it. Hes such a bad ass.
They really should Adapt Sailor Moon R for Live Action and bring those characters in. Allan and ann (Ail and An or whatever) too! That would kick seeing those characters live action! Daym, I can picture it now. Sailor Moon R has got to be the best season. Hands down. I remember everyone saying S was the best season. Why? It wasnt that great to me. the villains were kind of kewl but mostly a joke. Trivial trechery afoot and petty rivalries. And boo hoo. Uranus and Neptune die but I KNEW they wouldnt stay dead. Cause the scouts always die and get brought back to life. They die in a dramatic episode only to get brought back the next. Woo. How stupid. And the final battle. What kind of final battle was that?? The enemy is a giant floating ball. uuugh. Though I did love the Dr. guy. He was awesome. But that was about it really.
Er. ok ok. im done babblin
