I'm wondering whether this is a good idea or not. I unfortunately procrastinated and missed all the pre-orders for figurarts shinkenred and so I've been searching like crazy to find something and the only thing I've found is what sounds to be like a pre-order on ebay. I'm not sure if I should take this alternative what do you guys think?

If it's on eBay, I'd just wait until it's actually out. No need to pay for the preorder now. It's still going to be there. I was thinking about preordering Tatoba on eBay, but I'm going to wait and see if I can get it from HLJ or Amami.

Don't bother. The pre-orders may go off fast on the major Japanese retailers, but there'll always be stock in Hong Kong, considering how much of a hit S.H. Figuarts is, and the eBay sellers are all based in Hong Kong. They import goods from Japan over there, AND have a batch of stock distributed by a licenced company locally.

When the figure comes out, I suggest only buying from sellers with an actual photo of the item. (and not one stolen from Hobbysearch) That way you know for sure they have it ready to ship, and don't have to wait for that questionable "30 days" the pre-orders always list.

They don't import from Japan since the toys are made in China...

But Kev is right. Just wait for the release. These are regular releases, so they'll be available and eventually be re-issued.

Ebay pre orders are risky thing as far as I know ebay only gives you a certain amount of days to file a a dispute to get your cash back from the seller should something go wrong ....
