PR:RPM; A Season with No Mentor?

RPM seems to be the first mentor-less season since Time Force.

Ever since then we've had:

WF - Shayla

NS - Sensei

DT - Tommy

SPD - Cruger

MF - Udonna

OO - Hartford/Spenser

JF - R.J.

Col Truman is pretty distant from the team and the ranger project and Dr K is basically a walking computer lab tech.

I think it's a nice change to have the rangers not being schooled for once in a Disney season.

I think Dr. K counts, a mentor is someone who gives the rangers their powers. Okay, you could then kinda count Andros from PRIS as one, and that Stone holding the swords from PRLG as one too.

Just because she oversees operations, it doesn't make her a mentor.

Her role is nothing more than Kat Manx and Miss Fairweather. Shes a tech person. She gives the rangers information on their arsenal that she designs. What makes her any different?

She doesn't do what the other mentors of the past have done and teach the rangers lessons; impart wisdom to them etc

Zordon, Mitchell, Shayla, Sensei, Tommy, Cruger, Udonna, Hartford/Spenser, and R.J. all did that.

Strangely enough, it seems to be the rangers (so far) trying to teach Dr K lessons on humanity:

Ex: "Ranger Red" where Scott disobey's K's orders and orders the team to rescue the civilians in danger.

Each RPM Ranger was put through a variety of tests and obstacles to see if they have what it takes to be apart of the mission; I'd say that is pretty much what a mentor does.

Anyone can administer skill tests.

Fairweather did the same thing in LSR.

But it was Mitchell that actually reached out and taught the rangers things as a mentor.

A mentor is someone the rangers seek to be like; that's been the case in the past shows.

We need Mitchell to show up as a General who just spent a year helping refugees get to Corinth and totally school Truman at being a leader XD AND a father XD
