Power Morphicon 2012 Pie Damage Fundraiser

I don't agree with blaming Jason Narvy and Paul Schrier, they are just trying to entertain their fans and probably weren't aware of the damage. I blame the PMC staff for not stepping up and taking control

I can't agree with you. If you are an adult, you understand that there are consequences for your choices, and, if you can, you take steps to mitigate them. At the very least, you recognize that doing this could cause a mess, and so you put down plastic, so that you're not taking a risk of getting stuff all over the carpet.

You also inform the staff of what you intend to do, so that they can be prepared to deal with what happens as well.

"Just trying to entertain the fans" and "not aware of the damage" are just excuses. If you're an adult, and you cause damage, you take care of it. The actors made a choice to throw the pies, which caused the damage. The convention made a choice to allow them to continue, instead of stopping it. Both parties now need to deal with the consequences of their choices.

I see where you're coming from. Though my logic is if your job is safety and cleanup at a convention and you choose not to act when something like this is happening, you deal with the consequences. A PMC staff member could have stopped them in the first minute, or gotten something protect the walls and floor, but they didn't.

Paul and Jason Narvy are guests. They were invited to PMC and they probably had more important things to do that day, but they chose to spend their weekend with the fans. It's not their job to worry about pie getting on walls.

Are Paul and Jason completely innocent? No, but i would say a majority of the blame should go to the PMC staff for not acting

I don't want to sound like i'm insulting the PMC staff (which you probably can't tell from above), but they just need to take more action and be more prepared as these conventions get bigger and bigger

Wells said from both Dessa and MMPR here. I would side a bit more with MMPR on this though.

I wouldn't point fingers at Paul and Jason and demand responsibility, personally. In their case, I say it's up to them to make their own choice whether or not they want to step up and help pay for damages or just duck and run.

However, with the PMC crew, this was their sole responsibility, a job they signed up for. They are the custodians and the care takers. I mean, how did Paul and Jason even get the pies there without notice? They didn't. PMC staff knew. And any claim that they did not know just paints them as too irresponsible to run a convention. Either way, it's on their shoulders to prevent the mess or pay for the clean up.

I mean my god, look at the video. PMC staff just let it happen for a long while. I think this was planned and Paul and Jason were told it was okay.

the fact still remains. They (actors or con staff) dont wanna own up and wanrt everyone else to pay for their mistakes
