You heard right, folks.

...rights holder Pokemon USA said Pokémon: Battle Frontier, the brand new, ninth season of the series and will be broadcast on Cartoon Network (CN) beginning this fall. Pokémon Chronicles, never before seen in the U.S., premiered June 3 on CN during the Toonami block. Classic Pokémon episodes (seasons 1-5) will air on CN’s Boomerang channel.

While the new season will air on Cartoon Network, even recent reruns are moving to Boomerang, a channel not seen by many.

Well Superman and the newer Batman from a few years ago airs, but I never saw people complain about those.

But seasons 1-2 are at least ten years old aren't they? I don't see much of a problem there.

I remember when the Boomerang UK aired the ORIGINAL Sealab cartoon and Centurions before they replaced all of it with more traditional HB classics, then they gradually added the modern shows.

Yeah, a lot of the shows on Boomerang are way too modern, Fosters is now airing on it, how is that either old or even classic?

I thought there was a rule you had to have over 250 episodes/shorts andbeen on almost 10 consecutive years + to get on Boomerang?

Then American cartoon shows would not be on Boomerang.

I'm not sure it's a smart move. During the ads, all I see is Hanna-Barbara characters. I don't think Ash, Pikachu, etc. would fit in.

I think it's pretty cool.
I mainly watch Boomerang for Justice League, Superman, and Batman and it wouldn't hurt seeing something from the 90's on there. Most of the old stuff, though classics, bore me after a while.
