Paypal Help

I need some assitance with paypal. Now, I have paypal connected to my bank account and not my credit card.

Now, if someone sends a payment to my paypal account how am I able to use that money to buy things online using the money in the paypal account and not my bank account?.


Is there some sorta setting I need to use?.

Nope. As long as the site accepts Paypal, there's not much special you have to do. You could just get a Paypal debit card like I have if you want it to be easier. The card only lets you spend as much as whats in your account

So if I want to buy something online with the funds in my paypal account I just have to set it up to withdraw from my paypal debit rather than my bank account?.

You're just kidding about actually being able to get an actual debit card from Paypal, right? :sly: If you're just using your account to buy **** online, what's the point of getting an actual, physical card?

No, they'll actually send you a card. It can be used as a credit or debit card(it's a Mastercard) to make purchases at local stores from the funds in your account, and you can even use it at an ATM to withdraw from your account. From now on it'll be my way to budget money for Toku/anime purchases :laugh:

Yes, you can get a Paypal debit card *IF* you've had a Paypal account for about three (or six) months. The account must also be verified. Basically it acts like a credit card but will be declined if there are no funds in your Paypal account or bank account.

I have one as well since it's easier for me to use then my credit cards (I hate using my credit cards).

Which is why I use my Paypal debit Mastercard. I can EASILY use my credit cards but the hubby hates it when I "over spend" on my Japanese stuff. Paypal's Mastercard makes it easier because I can only spend what I have on the card. (Though it's not hard to transfer money from my bank account but don't tell the hubby that.)

Go figure. PayPal HAS come up with interesting ways to get people to give them their private banking information. Personally, I'll just stick to having my Paypal account tied to my credit card (I've had my account with them for about two years, before they started making it a requirement that you had to give them your banking information to get an account). As much as I trust Paypal when I buy stuff online, I'm not going to give them access to my personal bank account.

They accepted my application for the Card. :buttrock:

I had to upgrade my account aswell so I believe now when someone sends me money to my account I can start purchasing items.
