Panzer Returns With Friends In His Third NES Outing

Because you can’t keep a (relatively) good man down, Panzer, the hero of his self-titled line of indie NES games, is back once again. But this time, he’s somehow humble enough to share the spotlight with others: in Panzer 3, you’ve got the full team. Panzer is still trying to impress the World Council, and decides to take his crew on ten different quests across that many levels, each with a formidable boss at the end. You can choose to tackle these levels as any three members of Panzer’s eight-member team and switch between them at will. Pick from the skilled Hunter Kankaro, the formidable Ice Mage Ahzriaz, the Crazed Troll Vespeto, and many others. Perhaps even Panzer himself if you’re desperate. They’ll grow more powerful as you play and unlock special abilities for each character. Panzer 3 is a large upgrade from Panzer 2, containing a wider variety of gameplay in its stages and the ability to tackle them in any order you want thanks to a Mega Man-inspired

Dude, YES! I loved the first two Panzer games, but the limited party options were rough. Three-person teams with eight characters to choose from? Now that's what I'm talking about! This open-world, choose-your-own-adventure style is perfect for replayability. Plus, hidden areas with cameos?

Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of the first two games, but the whole "choose your crew" thing sounds awesome. Being able to switch characters on the fly and explore levels in any order? That's way more my style. Plus, an $11 digital download is pretty sweet for an indie game. This might be the Panzer game that finally wins me over.
