Couch Co-Op Games for a Competitive Group of Friends?

[Justin J]

I'm looking for some great couch co-op games that really bring out the competitive spirit, since my friends and I love a bit of friendly rivalry. We've enjoyed games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros., but I'm eager to find some new titles that offer that same thrill. Any recommendations for games that are particularly fun in a local multiplayer setting? Thanks!

If you're into competitive couch co-op, definitely check out Overcooked! It's chaotic, and you have to work together to cook, but trust me, the rivalries can get spicy when someone accidentally burns the food or steals the last ingredient! Rocket League is another great choice, who doesn't love cars playing soccer? The friendly competition can really get intense, especially when you start pulling off crazy aerial goals. Have you tried any of those? What kind of games do your group usually lean towards?
