Obama clinches nomination- (this is meant to be positive, no negativity please.)

That woman's done nothing but lie and scheme and slime her way through this whole campaign. And she STILL doesn't have the good sense to bow out of a losing game.

Indeed, and her speech was little more than thinly veiled backhanding. I hope she does not get the VP spot because it undercut Obama's entire message of change by dragging a living embodiment of the some old politics around with him.

Just finished watching it............................. my God, I've never seen anything like that before.... I don't know what to say.

He makes me scared to believe that he could do it... they he could be the real deal.. that he could start it and the change of the world.

In all my life, I've never witnessed someone like him that you actually want to believe in........................... this.... this is madness. O____O

Actually it's not final until the convention. ANYTHING can still happen until it's official.

He has no experience and frankly SCARES me. He was in Oregon not to long ago where he was asked about Hanford and knew NOTHING about it DESPITE the fact he has voted for things in favor of Hanford. It's the same for the Umatilla Depot and again it's something he had ZERO knowledge about despite the fact that the area's GREATEST concern is over the safety of while disposing chemical weapons.

He can make all those promises but they're empty. He can't fund things without cutting other things. He can't cut things without there being huge impacts. Between his racially hateful church to his unpatriotic wife, I'm scared for this world if he became president.

I've said it before. Hillary is a bitch. She's two-faced but we know the evil she is capable of. We don't know the evil Obama is capable of and THAT scares me the most.

Thank you for speaking out on his lack of experience. I am not sure why this is such a wonderful thing. All he has done since day one is talk about change and nothing else. He has never stated what his plans are, never said what he plans to do about change, in fact all he has done is give uplifting self help speeches.

When he was in Oregon he was asked about his campaign. He said "I have been to 57 of the states" he said it matter of factly like it was the way things are. No one can spin it to be in his favor. He said it, and that he said that just worries me. How can we elect a person who doesn't even know how many states we have as president of our states.

Mikazuki is correct. The only way he can do any of the things he suggests is by doing away with needed services as Bush has done, or by raising taxes. My bet is that if elected he will raise taxes. I would love to see those of you praising him keep doing so when you can't afford anything ever.

Also, why should this thread just be about how great Obama is? Should we start a new thread for those of us that don't like him? IMO if you start a thread like this it should be for all points of view not just in favor of a person.

And Obama is truthful? I mean to call Clinton a liar but not come out against Obama is just a little off sided. I mean I know you support the guy but he is not the perfect politician you think he is. His first lie is very well known so I won't go into it again. IMO his claims to help the American people with change are at best false at worst lies. How can he help us with all his ideas if everyone of them involves raising taxes.

I doubt he'd let her anywhere near the vice presidency after everything she's pulled. He's no fool.

Because Spade wanted this to be a thread for those of us who want to share in the positive vibe Obama is bringing to the nation, that's why. If you want to start a thread extolling the supposed virtues of a liar and a cheat like Hillary Clinton, go right ahead. Just don't expect all of us to join in.

It's all smoke and mirrors, Keith. He won't be able to change anything because even if he becomes President and has both the Senate and Congress full of Democrats the simple fact is that it will still be a split party. There is more harm from this then good.

You have to understand politics to understand that regardless of what he, Hillary or even McCain promises, there is very little that they can accomplish. He can't end the war without serious repercussions. He can't cut taxes or give more money to this or that. He actually does not have that power - Congress and Senate have that power. Oh he can make suggestions and veto things and so many other things to get his party to do his bidding but it won't happen when the party is split.

Many Democrats do not want him as President. It's a proven fact by Hillary's supporters. Unless he makes her Vice President he won't get her votes - they'll go to McCain and McCain will win.

I was comparing Bush with Obama in the sense that Bush had a house full of Republicans to do his bidding and as such look at the mess this country is in. His cronies did his bidding left and right BUT the difference is that Bush had a UNITED Republican party and Obama does not. IF Obama became President he won't have a unified party and without that then there is trouble. This is why I think McCain will win and not Obama. The only way Obama can win is if Hillary supports him and he makes her Vice President. If he doesn't then he is a fool not to have someone strong behind him. Bush was smart, he had that demon of a man (Cheney) behind him and he had a united party.

I hope I'm wrong and the Democrats win the Presidency however at the same time I hope they don't if it is indeed Obama who is too slippery and devious. I know his voting record, I know his church and I know he is a danger to this country then Bush ever was.

Yes and Obama just oozes truth and justice... Sorry to burst your bubble, but Obama is far from perfect himself. He has, what was the saying, flip flopped on so many of the personal issues that have plagued his campaign. I mean how can anyone believe him anymore?

Yeah but mika... he stands for change. Change into what he has never said. But he stands for change and change is good. Even if we don't know what that change is :sly:
