Now watching Boukenger...

Vicnuts,

There was no hype on Boukenger. Alot of fans were dissapointed with it. It's Gekiranger that's got all the good attention. You will not be dissapointed with Gekiranger at all.

The only thing I enjoyed about Boukenger was Eiji/BoukenSilver's arcs.

Boukenger's story never particularly impressed me, but one thing the show DID have going for it was style. Any time Akashi snaps his fingers and says "attack!" I just think "Yes! Yes! This is how the leader should act!" Definitely much better than Ban. I also like the badass henshins performed on enemy weapons, like the time Masumi deflected the bullet with his accellular. That was pure badassery right there.

Yeah that was cool, and I always do Akashi's signature fingersnap everytime I watch the fandub. I personally think that the show would have been better if there was an actual storyline and more character development, especially Akashi and Sakura's love relationship. Eiji, on the other hand, was the man. He may have been like a Sentai-version of Inuyasha at sometimes, but at least he looked pretty badass. Love the theme of the show, great kick-ass henshin sequence, mecha design were too iffy, but with the exception of DaiVoyager, they were not bad. Good thing for me, the Gekirangers are getting better and better every moment. Although there were some flaws in Gekiranger that I didn't like, but overall I really did enjoy the fact that it stick to being the secondary Chinese-Sentai theme combined with Mythology and science and martial arts in that order.

Well GekiRanger has its faults too. The story centres around Jan and Rio, the other characters seem redundant. Ken is the only other character that get's some kind of focus.

I really liked Boukenger.
It had great designs and characters. Altough the story could be somewhat better, it still wasn't bad.

Wow, I actually liked Boukengers, and I thought the characters were pretty deep and stuff. I loved how everyone had a deep past, and I really wish that they went into more detail with each of the. I admit I hated the number of enemies in the series, but meh I don't even remember all of their names :D cuz there were so many.

I'm sorry guys, but for me, Geki seemed to drag on, and I really wasn't all that into it. Boukengers to me, kept me on my seat all the way until the end. I didn't feel that there were a bunch of fillers in the beginning of the series like I thought Geki did. I really enjoyed having the chara's pasts explained to us, and I really wish there were more. ... I don't want to say anymore in case I spoil something, cuz I have a big mouth :X.

Geki, I only got interested only in that ep after the xmas one.... I dunno, I felt like I was pulling teeth to watch it, and didn't enjoy it at all. I love the title for the xmas ep though! XD Merry Xmas Osu!...Doesn't help that I've been saying "Osu" to my friend whenever he goes online, as a greeting?

I dunno...we're all entitled to pick whatever series we like the best :D

Ishimori would probably shoot up Toei studios if he was alive to see how they've fucked up his creation.

I guess you forget the Ishinomori approved episode of Black RX where Koutarou and Joe try to make it to Vermont to get married, only to be intercepted by homophobic Crisis member Bosgun:

Another thing I liked about Boukenger was the suit designs. They're probably my favorite of any series with the exception of Bouken Silver, who looks like he belongs in some sort of cracked out 80s synth pop video.

...Am I the only one in this thread who actually liked Magi?
