It's not. If anything, he has more in common with Tim Drake.

Also, why are people thinking that, if the Nolaverse had continued, he would become "Robin"? That's his real name. Batman told him to wear a mask, it would defeat its purpose if he used his real name. Him becoming "Nightwing" I can understand, even if him become new new Batman is more likely.

People are not saying he'll be a masked crime fighter in the name of "Robin", people are just saying he is Robin.
