Well start thinking so because it's a fact just as much as its a fact that most American gamers play FPS and Sports games.
The Japanese are very big with RPGs, fighting games, and minigame-ish games on the Wii that just get old. This is what appeals just about all of the Japanese game market. And when finally, a unique title comes to the Wii, instead of buying that they'd buy the newest remake/reissue of some Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest game. Yes, it's sad. It's the same with American gamers too when it comes to games that aren't FPS and sports titles, albeit the Japanese are more strict when it comes to their market. No More Heroes appears to have more interest in the States than it did in Japan, though, which is good as it deserves it all.
Third party developers aren't doing so well on the Wii right now and that's one of the reasons.
Yeah, third party developers for the Wii are just making typical minigame sh-t, but that doesn't mean they aren't doing well. They're getting huge because of it, as it attracts lots of people in both Japan and the US; people that never even played a video game before. So I'd say, despite the third party involvement isn't as big as the X-box 360's, it's pretty successful overall.
Suda51 should develop for ps3 and xbox360.
Be it a NMH sequel or a completely original title.
But why? Why sell it on two systems that are overall overshadowed by the Wii in terms of popularity?
The most sensible choice is the Wii when it comes to market terms. I can understand maybe getting a sequel on the X-box 360 or something as it would definitely be a hit with American gamers (not much with Japanese gamers, although the X-box 360 is starting to get more popular over there than the PS3), but being on a Wii would have the same effect. But a PS3? NO, No More Heroes would be less successful on the PS3 than it was on the Wii in Japan. X-box 360 would be fine, but not the PS3, because lets face it, the PS3 has an even more lacking of solid titles than the Wii does. It would simply just not sell compared to the Wii and X-box 360.
