Well...at least they should do a "Special Edition" magazines. One dedicated to the "History of Power Rangers"..."Godzilla's Reign of Destruction"..."Metal Heroes 180"...and..."Kamen Rider returns to America"...

We've had reviews of Kaiju films and I talked about Metal Heroes and Kamen Rider in the past in my column. Next issue's going to have a blurb on Kiva and Go-Onger, and I'm sure that when the time comes, there may be KRDK coverage. It already was mentioned last issue

Forget Newtype. Otaku USA beats all the American anime crapzines currently on the shelves!!! I started out with the previous issue, and I don't regret it. It covers all Japanese pop-culture, not just anime. And the people doing this magazine know what the hell they're talking about (including Mike Dent and editor Patrick Macias)! The other magazines are all done by anime fans insulated in their petty little fantasy world (coughanimericacough).

If there is one magazine to get, DEFINITELY get Otaku USA. It's time for whiny anime fans to dry up or get a clue! :buttrock:

Not surprised. Anime isnt big enough anymore for a magazine. Not to mention NewType was expensive and had terrible articles. Articles that were maybe one paragraph long with a two page picture spread to fill the void.

Their reviews were obviously bought and biased. I just couldnt continue a subscription after half a year. They always picked the absolute worst centerfold pictures too. >_<

As much I'd love to see an English ver. of the NewType the live I doubt that it will work out because of the lack of tokusatsu movies/series released in US. The fanbase for tokusatsu has to grow first before something like this should come out.

I wouldn't call them bought as ADV really didn't have any say in it but the way it was written, it did have that "Mouthpiece" feel to it....

The black sheep rider is describing Ryuki, the show dragon knight is being based of of. Some people were blasting it a bit when it first aired because it messed with the Rider formula.

As for the Saban curse part, you had to see Saban's masked Rider to understand that

Personally, I would've called it the same thing. I thought the Masked Rider shows completely sold out since Ryuuki. Dragon Knight doesn't make it any more reassuring.

But that's beside the point.
