New Star Trek in 2008

The as-yet untitled new film will be written by Abrams together with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Abrams is the creator of television series such as Felicity, Alias and Lost, and will soon be making his debut as a feature film director with Paramount's Mission Impossible: III. He's also written the scripts for films such as Regarding Henry and Armageddon

...God I am so not seeing this...Alias was fine for it's first two seasons, than Abrams completly abandoned it and it fell to peices, same thing with Lost, second season was worse than the first because JJ got tied up with MI: III.

I loathe Lost with a passion as it's overhyped crap plus I think J.J.Abrams is over-rated anyway altho I'll still see M.I.III next week tho even if he is involved with it but I dread to think what his take on Star Trek will be like...

Prequel, eh? Young Kirk and Spock? As much as I'm willing to admit that I'm a Trekker, I smell bomb.

Well, nothing is set in stone yet, it's just more or less speculation.
So I'm adopting a "wait and see" attitude. :jam:
