I can attest to this. There are two people in my anime meetup group that try to force everyone in the group that does not watch the show to watch it. One of them will even play episodes on his phone while we are eating dinner.

I do not get what the big deal of MLP is. Sure, it has adult tones in it, but I see it no better than the old 80s cartoon. In fact, one of my friends is now obsessed with doing MLP fanart on Devianart, and that is all he wants to do lately.

Now please don't automatically assume that I despise the fanbase in it's entirety. There are actually some nice bronies out there that are a tad more sane and aren't instantly offended when you say that you don't care for the show

Brilliant joke aside, that would be genius marketing. X could be closer to the original show in both form and spirit, Y could be acceptably different, Z would be the next logical step. And maybe somewhere in the future, a multiverse special that unites them all! :anime:

Though, I still don't know if I consider myself a brony. While I like many things about the show, what I actually love is how big of a popular phenomenon it has become. I just love it when things become that huge and popular. And you can either go against the grain and hate it all the way, or laugh and wish it the best of luck. I go with the latter, of course. Although, it's easier to do that when you always enjoyed it from the beginning, but I digress...

And I know there are many bronies who wish to apologize. Quite a number of them have indeed given the fanbase a bad name. Sometimes those who are passionate about something so much can forget that not everyone else feels the same way, and there is nothing wrong with other things. I think that's why I don't consider myself a brony yet. I like the show, but there are so many other things I like just as much, if not more. Tokusatsu, Sonic the Hedgehog, and PpG are just a few examples.

X: Revolves around a Bleedman-like PPG. They are unrelated to the original in every way but have a common thread.
Y: Henshin Hero on the marks of Shin Kamen Rider [genetic], but PPG nonetheless.
Z: Girls whom are mutated and use power gadgets to become the PPG Z. Friends that have resemblance to the original characters, with Utonium's grandson being their classmate.
