NBA 2010/11 Season Discussion

I'm still :nono::nono: @ some of my fellow Knicks fans at these NBA forums about trying to spend our cap money next year trying to "build around Amare" with overpaid role players instead of getting Carmelo.

Have Knicks fans not learned the lesson from the 90s of what happens when you don't give a superstar big man any help? Retards :redface2:

That's not the point. Nobody is overpaid at all either.

The point is everyone feels why should we throw out all of the talent we have when we could offer a lesser deal and still have a championship team. You are looking at trading two 15 ppg scorers, defenders and depth players. Then trading a potential top 3 rookie in the NBA.

When the Knicks have leverage and the Nuggets do not.

You do realize the Gallos, Fields, and Wilson Chandlers of the NBA are fucking replacable? That's the point some people are forgetting, THEY ARE ROLE PLAYERS. Role players can be replaced.

With that being said, I wasn't talking about trade offers man.........I'm on the side of the people saying we should wait until the off-season to get Carmelo.

I'm also on the side of the people that think Landry Fields shouldn't be a part of any trade offers.........Fields is legit to permanently stay with the team until Fields' decides otherwise.

But we got retarded Knick fans saying that we should rather pay fucking Tyson Chandler and Samuel Dalembert fucking big ass contracts in the off-season instead of Carmelo Anthony?

The "fans" is reasoning for paying money for those guys over Melo is that they would rather keep Wilson Chandler over Carmelo Anthony. :sly: :redface2:

Because role players win championships. You think the Lakers would be 2 time champs if Lamar Odom wasn't there to give them double doubles off the bench?

Bruce Bowen was a key player for the Spurs.

Leon Powe, Glen Davis, Tony Allen helped the Celtics win the title as well.

People are mentioning Chandler and Dalembert because that's our biggest need. Melo really isn't but we do need him to win a title. However, do you get Melo and Amare and end up looking like Miami with no shot blocking low post center?

Nobody said Wilson and Gallo are better than Melo but it's ridiculous to think we should trade half of the roster when we are in a better position to get him as a Free Agent and eventually Denver will have to trade with us on OUR terms.

They want to drag this thing out til the deadline. If Melo continues to reject contract extensions with NJ or any other team out there we will eventually offer a package that Denver has no choice but to accept unless they want to risk losing him in FA.

And if you do trade Gallo and Chandler or even Fields too. Who comes off the bench when your starters need a rest? We would basically have a gutted roster.

That's what happens when you're too much of a (team) fan, you lose reasoning and common sense. That's why I am an overall basketball fan first and foremost. tsk tsk.

OJ Mayo is on the trading block. The Orlando Magic, New York Knicks have interest in him.

JR Smith is in trade talks to Chicago.

OJ...:O_O: We must grab OJ.

JR to Chicago. ehh..he'll probably just eff shyt up with his on and off play. I don't trust him.

OJ is a plan B to most teams that feel they can get Melo. We could trade for him now but that requires getting rid of Toney Douglas.

Denver and New Jersey already have a deal in place to send Melo to New Jersey BUT he will refuse to sign the extension. So, basically this is gonna drag out until February.

By the way...since Atlanta and Orlando lost last night, the Knicks are now 4th in the East.

It's almost that time............TIME FOR NEW YORK TO REMIND BOSTON WHO'S HOUSE THEY ARE IN TONIGHT

Already in the first quarter of this epic Knicks/Celtics game.........Amare Stoudemire has buried a Celtics scrub

R.I.P. Celtics scrub........you got POSTERIZED
