Shippuuden is dragging out the fights a bit too much for my tastes. They throw just enough action into an episode to keep me intrigued and wanting more, while dragging it out over multiple episodes ala DBZ style. They do it much better than DBZ did, but still, I'd like it to move more quickly.

well there are plenty of hints that the manga itself is wrapping up and the series is ending.

I don't read the manga, so I'm not sure where the series will end up, but right now I'd like to see them do a Naruto adult years anime follow Shippuuden. Fast forward 10 years to when Naruto is in his mid-20s.

But the new ending with the characters drawn in Japanese High School fashion was very interesting and I'd like to see that.

It'll be balls if Naruto dies, but that's definitely a way to kill the series and guarantee he's not stuck in an endless loop of sequels.

A modern high school drama anime Naruto without the super cool ninja powers, just the ass kicking martial arts, might be cool. I can see how it could fail, and how it could be cool, so it'd depend on the implementation.

2)Itachi and company have targted Naruto for a while.
3)He's wearing Tsunade's necklace that everyone who has worn it before has died.
4)everytime he goes Kyuubi, he shortens his own lifespan.

So yeah, he's gonna die. The key is, will he remain dead.

Well, I expect the character to die eventually, but none of those hints require it to happen before he becomes an adult. It seems to me like most of the kage's tend to die in their mid-20's/early-30's, anyway, so I can hold onto my hope, though I understand it's possible to not happen.
