My DS Lite has a dead pixel!

For detailed screens most companies don't accept a broken pixel as a default, hence they don't take it back to exchange it. The same thing happened to me with a 250,000 Yen Toshiba Qosmio notebook: one pixel is white all the time but neither Toshiba nor the store could exchange it for a new one ... all part of the damn small print contract when you purchase.

Still, hope you'll have better luck!

Thanks, kyo for the info. I just got off the phone from Nintendo and they told me that they could totally replace my Nintendo DS Lite due to the fact that it was covered by the one year warranty. To replace it they charged me $5 to ship the new one out. It pretty much works out for me because I got this system on the other side of town and the gas going to that part of town is way more than how much I paid for the fee. I just got the confirmation e-mail today and they will ship it today express.

So .... Nintendo >>>> Toshiba, NEC, Fujitsu? :redface2:

I was pretty suprised too. I thought they were gonna tell me to stick my DS Lite up my rear end. Their customer service really impressed me.

Hehe, I am sorry. I will try asking for you next time when I have DS problems.:buttrock: It was actually a good thing I followed your advice not to import a DS because if I did I would've been screwed. Thanks again, RF!

I dont have my reciept anymore.
Smart move. [/sarcasm] You sure were lucky MJ, more often than not the company will refuse to do anything without a receipt, regardless of what the problem is.

Let this be a lesson people. NEVER throw away the receipt! Staple it to the box of the item you purchased and KEEP IT!!! Why? Because you NEVER KNOW!
