It was a busy weekend these last few days for those following anime news. Anime Expo 2025 meant every major vendor and distributor had something to reveal. Crunchyroll, being the biggest fish in the pond, hosted a panel packed with announcements. The first thing we learned is that Black Clover is coming back. The magic-based shonen last aired an original episode in 2021. A new season is now in production, and the same animation team (Studio Pierrot) is returning to the job. In addition to the reveal of the first trailer and promotional art, a special message played from creator Yuki Tabata: “The production of the long-awaited new anime season of Black Clover has been confirmed! I’m beyond ecstatic going into the new anime season after the super-passionate movie that came out! Thanks to all of you, Black Clover is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year!
