One of the most unforgettable voice performances in animated film has to be Robin Williams as the Genie in "Aladdin." His comedic timing and ability to switch between heartfelt moments and wild energy really brought the character to life. Williams improvised a lot of his lines, which added a spontaneity that made the Genie feel larger than life and relatable at the same time.
Another standout is Tom Hanks as Woody in "Toy Story." Hanks captures Woody's journey from being a self-centered toy to realizing the importance of friendship and selflessness. His emotional range brings a depth to the character, making the story resonate with audiences of all ages.
On the more recent side of things, I can't overlook Ben Whishaw as Paddington in the "Paddington" films. His soft and earnest delivery makes Paddington incredibly endearing, and really reflects the character’s kindness and determination.
Also, I’d suggest checking out Coco for Anthony Gonzalez's portrayal of Miguel. His performance conveys such innocence and wonder, making Miguel’s journey in the Land of the Dead feel genuine and touching.
These performances stand out not just because of the actors' talents, but also how they connect with the themes of their respective films. Definitely worth revisiting if you haven't seen them in a while!
