(Monsters?) Pondering on campaigns that should not be

Ok. there's this group called Arc Dream that puts out indy rpgs. Stuff like Godlike, for WWII supers, Wild Talents for modern supers, and then there's Monsters and Other Childish Things. Basically, if you wanted to simulate pokemon, digimon, zatch bell, foster's home for imaginary friends or "My Little Cthullu," this is the game for it.

I have the game, and it's fun, but a group of fellow players started expanding it to places it shouldn't go, but could easily do:

Boston Legal: Denny Crane is Alan's monster. Alan's the kid that never grew up.
Willy Wonka: Wonka's the kid, and the factory as a whole, oompa loompas and everything is the monster.

Kamen Rider Kabuto: Kagami Arata is the kid who's bullied, brotherless, accused of nepotism. What do kids do when they're considered imperfect? They create an imaginary friend who is. In this case, Tendou Souji.

Den-o's too easy, so I'll mix it up: Hana's the kid, and Ryoutaro, the owner and all the Imagin are her monsters.

So tell me, where does your mind take this concept? What characters are kids and who are their monsters?
