MONSTERS director Gareth Edwards to helm Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA!

[Daikamonohashi]

The Pacific Rim rumor was debunked - it has nothing to do with Godzilla. The current script was written by David Callaham (DOOM, The Expendables) but a new writer is being brought in.

Yes, I said as much:

The previous scuttlebutt was the Godzilla script was a tweak of an original script called 'Pacific Rim', by the guy who wrote the recent Clash of the Titans movie.

Now we're not sure who's doing it.

HitFix shot that one down right after it was rumored.

There's a rumor going around that legendary is going to promote Godzilla at Comic con this year. Some even say during the Pacific Rim panel.

"We knew the world would not be the same, few people laughed, few people cried, most were silent. I remembered the line from Hindu Scripture, The Bhagavad-Git...Takes on his multi-armed form, and says 'I am become Death. Destroyer of Worlds." From the trailer.
