The Jupiter Frontier, it was the colony cluster furthest from earth and because of it Earth had very little control over it. Put simply the only law out here was those who controlled the Jupiter Frontier colonies, and unfortuneatly that was the Jupiter Ascendancy. With no one else to oppose them their wordwas law, and with how they suppressed those below them and managed to keep only a small group of modern day noble families in power, thus creating a nice and easy life for themselves while profiting off the work of those below. Until now they had gone unopposed that was until one man chose to defy them, he gathered allies and prepared to strike back, and thus the Crossbone Vanguard was formed.

An operation like the Vanguard's was effective, but highly illegal as well without a main supply chain to keep themselves going. The Caladrius was the biggest battleship known to man in these parts and consumed lots of fuel and energy. The ship had onboard mobile weapon construction facilities requiring materials to keep a steady supply of mobile suits. Those same mobile suits needed maintenance and repairs due to their combat minded mission. And of course there was the ship's massive crew. It wasnt just a huge battleship it was home to all those on board as once joiningthe vanguard returning home to the Jupiter Frontier or Earth was no longer an option. All of those people needed to eat. It just so happened the needs that needed to be filled also coincided with their goals. The Ascendancy managed several supply lines which they used to transport stuff like that from the central colony of Divinidad to the smaller ones. As the home of the nobility Divinidad horded most for themselves but they still had to keep their workers fed, and likely wouldnt even bother if they didnt want to do any work themselves.

Luke was sitting in the cockpit of the Crossbone X-1, watching a video feed from the Caladrius' bridge. The ship had been hiding out on the edge of one such supply line. With it's postioning near some debris and it's dark colors the ship wasnt easily spotted all it had to to was wait for one of those supply ships to come along. The Ascendancy operated like a well regulated and maintained machine. It was efficient but very predictable too, and Luke preferred to capitalize on that fact. Finally a supply ship came into view on the monitor, it was big and bulky, not that agile at all as well as slow, which made sense that it was loaded with cargo. Around it were squads of mobile suits sticking closely to it four groups of eight mobile suits, made up mostly of Soldado class with a few Soldado Mejor class mobile suits.. "Even more than last time, im flattered." Luke said to himself with a laugh. Ever since the Vanguard begin their opoerations the Ascendancy began giving supply ships armed escorts, stepping it up more and more each time. At first they escorts were light with arrogance clouding their judgement, but with consitent defeats they were forced to increase the amount of mobile suits that accompanied them. Luke and the other pilots all waited anxiously getting ready to launch at a moment's notice. Naturally Luke was scheduled to launch first, the Vanguard's aggressive tactics meant sending out their iconic member in his easily recognizable mobile suit out first.

"..............NOW!" suddenly Luke engaged the thrusters on the X-1 and shot out of the Caladrius and toward the the supply ship, behind him was a small squad of Vandal and Libertad class mobile suits, weapons varying from unit to unit according to the pilot's taste, most of them sporting the equally iconic anti-beam cloaks which the X-1 itself naturally had equipped as well. The X-1 zigged and zagged through the open space, moving like lighting because of the powerful X thruster mounted on it's back. Built for operating near Jupiter's intense gravity and atmosphere it allowed the Crossbone Gundams to easily move within Juptier's atmosphere, but further away like this it made them incredibly acrobatic and agile adding even more to the Gundam's fierce reputation. Luke allowd the cloak to fly backwards, momentarily revealing the black and white mobile suit underneath immidiately attracting the attention of the Ascendancy pilots.

Immidiately they focused on him, firing their beam rifles before the Gundam spun around, causing the shots to disperse against the cloak before he rocketed towards them, planting the Gundam's big metal foot into a Soldado's head unit and flying straight upwards. Suddenly two beam rifle blasts hit that same Soldado , blasts originally meant for the Gundam that ended up falling prey to it's pilots quick reflexes. "You fight like sloths!" Luke taunted as he shot back down, beam zanber in one hand and buster gun in the other, spinning as he fired and slashed at them.

Tia was in her Soldado Mejor in the hangar of the Caladrius, awaiting for the order to move out. She was still getting used to it a little, this whole Crossbone thing. She used to protect the JA ships from this very thing, but here she was, about to participate in a raid herself. However, just because she was getting used to this doesn't mean she regretted it. This was necessary in her eyes. For the JA to let that happen to her parents, just because some spoiled brat didn't like her was too much. Not too mention all the injustice she was awakened to on her trip to Earth...

Before she knew it, however, Luke gave his command and Tia quickly put her game face on, following suit in launching from the hangar with her squad of 4. The thing that stood out about Tia and her four comrades were that they were all in JA Mobile suits, but they were repainted in Crossbone colors, so they wouldn't be shot at by the other pilots. Furthermore, they were also equipped with beam cloaks like the Libertad's. Naturally, not only would Luke's quickness in battle confuse the JA ranks, but seeing their own mobile suits on the Crossbone side would further mess with their heads.

You all should just open your eyes already! She thought as she aimed the mounted beam gun on her mobile suit's left arm at a Soldado that seemed to still be disoriented from the their arrival. Squeezing off a few shots, she managed to hit the arms of the mobile suit, basically shooting them off as one of her squad mates rushed in and finished it off with a stab of a beam saber to its cockpit. This was how her and her squad usually fought, with one or two mobile suits focusing on disabling an enemy while another finished them off. "Now then...let's show theses guys why the Black Cross and her squad is too be feared and respected!" She shouted, actually feeling a little embarrassed from it since she wasn't used to displaying so much bravado.

Stray jerked away when his surroundings suddenly exploded into a noisily chaos. "Hey there, kid? Don't tell me you slept by X-2 again?" One of the Vanguard's engineers said as he approached the still-drowsy boy. Rubbing his eyes, Stray looked down at the laptop on his lap. The previous night, or what passed as night while in the Jupiter Frontier, he had decided to run maintenance on Gundam X-2's software and had fallen as sleep as the last program ran. "You really like this Mobile Suit, don't you kid? I would even say it is an obsession." The engineer joked.

"I just wanted to keep X-2's software up to date..." Stray simply answered as he stood up. "I want to make sure whoever they assign to pilot it next brings it back in one piece." The tanned young man said as he gazed up at the Gundam.

A laugh escaped the engineer. "Well, it's your lucky day then." He said as he threw a helmet into Stray's hands. "You've been clear to pilot it for today's loot... Now get in there, we're launching 15 minutes ago!" He said excitedly before leaving the young man to get ready.

Less than ten minutes later, Stray had already moved the X-2 to the launching platform. The moment the go signal appeared, he pushed the controls forward. "Stray, Crossbone X-2, Launching...!" The young man called out as the Mobile Suit rushed out of the ship and into the vastness of space.

From the bridge of the Caladrius overseeing the operations stood watch rather taking the Captain’s chair, Carolynn (known only to those excluding Luke as Misha Silverblade) studied the supply ship as it came into view with both an unreadable facial and body language. It was with this presence surrounding the voluptuous platinum-hair young woman believed one of the reasons called ‘Silverblade’ by those aboard the Caladrius from this factor. As the Ascendancy only now started to change their tactics Carolynn started to expand her usage of imagination generating more possible scenarios that have helped kept them ahead till now. Touching the rapier strapped along her slim frame turn to one of the operators startling the young man.

“M-ma’am?†The operator swallowed nervously fearing that he had done something wrong relaying the video feed to their Gundams.

“Maintain communications opened between our units and the jamming Ascendancy frequencies,†Carolynn instructed thrumming her fingers delicately on the hilt, “This is very sensitive objective where we cannot have a margin of error to occur am I understood?†The young man nodded in acknowledgement hesitant to address her, “Good! Next unit be prepared on standby for further instructions.†Opening a secure communication link, between the bridge and standby unit aboard the Caladrius. A dangerous thought surfaced within the woman’s thought of a hidden danger possibly in the supply ship. “Open audio communication with X-1!â€

“Channel open†Another responded from their stationed.

“They have certainly taken great notice of our actions with their increased numbers. A word of caution towards the desired objective if I may enlighten to everyone may shield few secrets of its own than that of a simple supply ship. It’s all in your capable hands, but if needed we have the next unit available to launch at your commad.†Flipping her hair to one side.

"If anything they are still underestimatinng us, if they were really scaredthey would throw their whole army at us!" Luke said sounding rather smug and proud. He knew full well how the situation required seriousness and some caution to seize the ship's cargo undamaged while dealing with the armed escorts and the ship's crew but Luke had preferred to give the impression of a leader who was just that damn good to the point where he felt no need for plans of caution. All things considered the Crossbone Vanguard's plans involved reputation as much as strategy and tactics, and the face of the Vanguard needed to be the embodiment of all of that. As far as pilots went Luke was average, not bad but there were still better pilots out there, he would never admit it to any besides the founders of the Vanguard but it was the X-1 that allowed him to be as effective as he was out there, and that it wouldnt be too tough for most pilots to be just as effective in it.

The X-1 was zooming all over the place like a black and white cyclone, his mobile suit's beam cloak dispersing most of the beam attacks sent toward him. Despite all this he only sent a few attacks there way, usually just enough to get them good, mad and most importantly focused on him. Most of the Ascendancy army would jump at the chance to take down the infamous Crossbone Gundams, something that Luke capitalized on. While most eyes were on him everyone else would have an easier time getting their objective.

An amusing smile caressed Carolynn’s face voluntarily expecting no less coming from Luke. “Truly noted†Carolynn watching another monitor display appearing in the upper right corner, “I am merely reminded of the old Trojan Horse ploy do not hold it against them for possibly trying as much considering how many times that we’ve humiliated them Weiss.†If what the collected information towards their objective was hundred percent accurate the Crossbone Vanguard would have not only what they need for necessary repairs and feed the many hungry aboard will last them till the next raid. This did not mean attacks made upon the Ascendancy shall start to dwindle anytime soon in the meantime.

For the Crossbone Vanguard acted as the voice will continue its effort thwart the Ascendancy goal no matter the cost. Carolynn’s eyes soon shifted onto the other brave pilots finding them to be on an equal level that of Luke monitored them as well. “Do not hold back against the enemy, but remember your prime objective towards the ships contents. We need them in minimal condition remotely as possible and cannot afford them to be lost in the process.†Most of them still quite young themselves pained Carolynn that most were force to grow up so quickly. While this was not vividly shown amongst crew wished that things could have been differently. Shaking free from these saddened thoughts closed off the communication at least for now.

“How is the status towards the second unit? Are they ready to deploy on Weiss call?†Carolynn demanded an answer from the first operative.

“Everything nearly ready ma’am†The operative glance up from the console, “The pilots have now started to board the mobile suits at this time.†Carolynn did not respond moving toward her chair finally kept an eye on the two. “Ma’am?â€

Hmmmm….We might need to have Stray hack into their system. Rumors have been rising of a possible increase to their fleet that leaves me to wonder Carolynn mediated.

“Silverblade?!†The operative voice shattered any further thought received a cold-harden stared “My apologies, but X-2 finally departed joining the others about fifteen minutes late.â€

“What?! That boy was supposed to be with….†The voluptuous silver-haired young woman’s crimsons eyes shot open lean forward rubbing the bridge of her noise in exasperation. Stray was a good kid who surprised many aboard, but to sleep during a vital mission discredited some of the appraisal received welcoming him to their small team.

Seeing that a good deal of their foes seemed to be focused on the Crossbone units, Tia issued a new command to her squadmates. "Now that we got a good chunk of those forces off of us, we can focus on those supply ships!" Her squadmates gave their approval of this plan and they soon descended upon one of the supply ships, whose compliment of mobile suits were distracted at the moment. All that were left were about three mobile suits who knew better, but now had to deal with the Black Cross and her Squadron.

As Tia's squad mopped up the two flanking mobile suits, Tia herself entered into combat with another Soldado Mejor, who seemed to be in charge of this ship's particular compliment of mobile suits. I take on the boss, huh? She thought to herself as the other mobile suit took the initiative, firing its beam weapons at her. Tia, taking a risky move, used her beam cloak to deflect these shots and dashed in close, drawing and swinging her beam saber in a swift motion. The other pilot was unfamiliar in fighting mobile suits with beam cloaks, much less former JA Mobile Suits with beam cloaks, and he lost the right arm to his mobile suit because of this. Desperate, the other pilot boosted back and suddenly fired all three of its grenades at Tia.

Seeing this, she dashed downward to escape the explosions and then re-directed herself to charge at the enemy. Panicking, the other Mejor fired its vulcan guns, but they did little to Tia's own Mejor as she cleanly slashed the other mobile in half, cutting across the cockpit. Agh...this guy's tactics weren't that good...he was treating space as a 2D plane...how did he graduate? She thought to herself as she backed away from the resulting explosion. With the remaining guard on the supply ship taken care of, Tia and her squad then proceeded to deal with subduing the ship itself, so they could raid it of its supplies next.

For the first time since the start of the raid Luke actually noticed the X-2 emerging from the ship a little later than the rest of the "Cross, you and your squad start working on disabling the engines. Me and whoever is in the X-2 are gonna focus on drawing fire. Once the engines are disabled we tear into the cargo hold, grab it and bring it back to the Caladrius!" he ordered. "Alright late arrival you're with me, heres hoping that you can handle that thing, the Crossbones have more of a kick to them than the other mobile suits. It's alot like trying to control a pissed off horse. " he explained, not really sure who was in the X-2 and trying to give a few bits of advice. "Now lets anger these guys as much as possible!"

"If this doesnt grab their attention, I dont know what will." he unveiled the X-1's signature weapon, the Peacock Smasher. Resembling a crossbow from ancient times on earth, it's name didnt make much sense at first. The X-1 pulled the trigger, releasing nine simulanteous beams, a deadly yet oddly beautiful attack which always left an impression on those that saw it.
