In “Mickey 17”, the 17th iteration of “Mickey” gets sent on a dangerous mission. If successful and the “Mickey” returns, that’s good. If unsuccessful … so what! Just clone another “Mickey”. The film has an expected release date of January 31, 2025, in the USA. (It will be released in South Korea on January 28, 2025.) In “Mickey 17”, Robert Pattinson plays “Mickey”, an astronaut who is part of an experiment that “technically” makes him immortal. He is sent out on missions and if he dies during the mission, a clone of him gets generated, so he can carry on and complete the mission. At this point, he has been cloned 17 times. But is there a fluke with this experiment? Mickey wakes up only to find that one of the clones did not die! How can that Mickey exist when a new Mickey was generated? That’s not what they told him when he signed up! What a monumental screw-up!!
