Metal Gear Solid Online Premiere Beta up!

oh god, not this again. last week for me was hell because of the beta.

so yeah, i went to go preorder Metal Gear Solid 4 Today at my local Gamestop, and to get the current coveted thing in my eye: The Metal Gear online Beta Activation code. so i get there, and wait inline in front of this ridiculous line...... in the front a mom and her two kids are going back and forth about getting GTA IV, even though both of them look underaged.......... and in front of me is a guy who just went to his trunk and tried to return rock band; with all of the instruments fully assembled in
his hands in line (even the fucking drum set!). so when it's finally my turn in line, i'm happy to get the very last copy of this:

Metal Gear Sagas DVD which has the Beta activation code in it's jacket.


i get home and get ready to download MGO .......only to find that those bastards at Konami have played the cruelest trick on me; there's only a partial code, so i can't play the beta.

so here i am now, filing a complaint, and hoping i get my code so i can get online so i don't miss out on all the fragging this weekend.

and i thought it was over.... but it wasn't.

Okay. so now after listing my complaint on Friday with Konami, they sent me a new code- on Sunday. but hey! i got the code? break out the beer-swilling college fraternity douchebags and half naked chicks cause' it miller time, right?

no. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell no.

as soon as i enter the code, i have to download the beta, and i know that i'm gonna be in it for the long run, which means i have to go do something else to waste my time while the slowest download of 745 MB i have ever been privvy to commences. and you would think after that, miller time, right?


no. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeell no.

i now have two updates to download before i can do anything. not one, but two long-as-hell updates to download. you think i'm joking? i've been on this computer for over an hour, and the 1st update has only download to 30%, 30 ball-busting percent.

at this point i'm starting to think if call up my friends and we go kick the **** out of each other in army surplus store with metal gear solid music blaring in the background loudly would be more fun than this horrible slow torture. what the **** Konami? for years you have subsequently stuck your metaphorical penis directly in my wallet and ohter people's wallets and savagely raped it on several occasions for different games and franchises (Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania Being among them) all to get that extra dollar, and you know what? i was okay with that; at least back then you kinda faked like you cared.

but why this? why all the butthurt for this beta? I swear, this had better be a good game, as far as betas go. i have wasted a whole weekend trying to get this dingleberry of a beta to work, so it had better be DAMN good. if not, they better expect a visit from me.

yeh, it took all of us the same time and effort. But, for me at least, it was worth it. I think MGO is pretty kick ass and I cant wait for the real game to come out.

Im always in the Otacon server in Free Battle. Mostly in Sneaking games or TDM. So, now that you finally played the game, what do you think of it? Was it worth all the trouble?

yeah it was worth it. there are some glitches to fix, but i'll probably end up playing this full time next month when it comes coupled with mgs4.

what time does everyone wanna meet up on beta?
