Well if anyone would be able to hit spiderman with a gun or even wing him it would be punisher ...I'd have thought it would have to be using a sniper rifle at the very least though :S Also DD is a player now that he is in charge of the hand ... Or at least last time I read a DD comic he was ..

I don't see what your point is here, Daredevil was one of the many reasons Marvel flourished in the early years of their mainstream renascense (The Marvel Knights team-up with Spidey, Guardian Devil, Bendis' run, Brubaker's run), if his movie hadnt bombed, he would have continued to have incredible momentum.
Wth Marvel considering a new Daredevil movie, now is the time to make Murdoch a prolific player again. It's good timing, and good advance marketing to restore the character's relevancy after a period of inactivity.

wolverine has a long connection to the hand is the only thing I can think of :O That is a heck of a cover teaser though I'm kind of looking forward to this book now just to see how it all turns out

If we followed that logic he would also be in Secret Warriors so he could get revenge on Gorgon. This is being sold as the street-level event, and Wolverine just isn't that kind of character. Which isn't to say he can't be because this the reason we have Patch. As for the New Avengers unless there is a tie-in I don't think that should even come into play. Plus with this taking place in and affecting New York it becomes even odder that while Wolverine is being portrayed as key player the other teams and characters with a stronger connection to the city probably won't get a mention. The fact is we all know he is just there to help the event but I just wish that it didn't feel like all he was there for was to help sell the event.
