Marvel: Ultimate Alliance...What in the crap??? (Spoilers)

WIIIIIIIIIIII!
So I have to kill either Jean Grey or Nightcrawler, and then the game will end with someone else dying because of that? Hell. Freaking. No.

I'm guessing the designers put in a way to save them that hasn't been documented. This game is on hold 'til someone discovers it.
 
Yeah, apparently it goes like this...

[HIDE]If you choose to save Jean, Mystique will kill Professor Xavier later on. But if you save Nightcrawler, Jean will become Dark Phoenix. Apparently there's no way to save them both./[/HIDE]
 
I tried to get around it playing solo in co-op mode by positioning a character at one spot while the guy I controlled was at the other. Then I tried pressing both buttons together. No luck. Maybe a wingman might help ya VG.
 
I wa sun-impressed with this game, too many characters seemed to be the same (Spider-woman and Iron man) cut-scenes that give no consideration of your party make-up (Unlike the previous legend games) and the in-ability to decide if it's 616 or Ultimate universe.
 

I dont get what the big deal is. So what if you cant save them all, it's an interesting twist in the story I suppose.
