If you don't believe any of the money goes to the creators, or if you just don't believe it does any good, then why do you buy English and Japanese versions of the manga you "really care about"? Just to have more stuff on your shelf?
Yes and yes! Besides not like i'm saying the Japanese versions don't help but the English versions just support corporate bs and translations i'm not that happy with...i'd rather have a friend read it to me page by page and explain crap most of the time.

Mostly to compare. I like to see if the shading or any panels are different at all *shrug* not a very exciting person with my free time. I also like to get the English versions to show friends who I might possibly be able to get sucked in with me. I like having friends who are real into my favorite shows/manga so then when they buy stuff I can bum it or buy it from them later real cheap (got a bunch of Altar Fate figures for half-price bwahahaha)

**** don't get me started on manga in general. Naruto and Bleach should have been over a while ago...and Bleach has like 3 more Arcs? HA how is Kubo gonna pull that one out his ass

Naruto's problem is that it lost steam and changed it's tone entirely from underdog to child of destiny. The only interesting portion now is the backstory of his birth but aside from that eh.
I'm not all that interested in Naruto or Bleach backstory lol. The problem with these two is they're ACTION manga well where the hell is all my action? They're turning into soap opera's over here. Granted it seems Bleach has more action than Naruto but..okay...Turn Back the Pendulum was cool and all that but seriously do we need a history lesson in the MIDDLE of an EPIC battle? Grrr. As far as Naruto is concerned who cares what happened 16 years ago we all know who did what and what happens in the end what I care about is the present. What's going on at the Akatsuki hideout, is Naruto gonna get new powers or what? These are the hard hitting questions that won't be answered for a very long time.
