Capcom said that IV takes place between Super II Turbo and Street Fighter III. But I would believe the idea that Bison had a third body lying around the Shadoloo base somewhere.

Thats still just a rumor I haven't seen any official announcement about continuity, and even if so Bison would still be dead. He died at the End of SF2, not after.

and yet he keeps coming back. Lui Kang died and yet he comes back as a ZOMBIE. No one stays dead. Now they might stay dead in the literal story line version. But they always return in the video game.

Geese died in the Fatal Fury universe, the KoF universe contains altered versions of the Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and other SNK games storylines.

True though no Fighting Game character stays dead usually, unless you count forgotten/never including in future sequels as dead.

I'm seriously shocked that people don't seem to care a whole lot about this bit of info.

Yoshinori Ono was asked if Gouken was going to be in the game to which he replied "Will he be in the game playable that particular character, well we probably wouldn't put a non-playable character in an animation like that and highlight him to that degree."

I'm surprised continuity in the games is that big a deal. I never thought the appeal of fighting games was in their stories.
