Low Profile Talent Disscusion

in hanakimi you got many low profiled Actors like Mizobata Junpei.

Okay he's low profiled but certainly not unknown. he's the main character in Hachi one diver.

A low profile talent I have in mind is Aiba Hiroki though I don't think he can pull off anything like Kamen Rider... or maybe he can... hmm... ^^ he couple of memorable shows he's been in would be the Prince of Tennis musicals, Delicious Gakuin, and Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata.

I think a lot of this generation of low profile actors would be guys who are in TeniMyu. Many of them go on to be in toku and have bit parts as well. I used to follow a lot of them and I remember the excitement I felt just when they got little bit parts on "real" dramas (by real I mean on a main station at a decent time, not one of those cheap ones on a lesser station at like 1:00 AM). Most D-Boys as well, Shirota Yuu might place a bit higher than the rest but I still think he's like second level, if that makes sense?

Also Aiba Hiroki is totally my least favorite TeniMyu actor ew :redface2: so skinny and annoying. He's big as far as TeniMyu goes but I don't think he's ever even had a small part on a real drama so yeah DEFINTELY low profile.

Junpei Mizobata just started his career like a year and a half ago and already he's scored himself the lead role in a drama that held the spot of a drama Okada Junichi was in.

He's only turning 19 this year (ON MY BIRTHDAY OF COURSE <33333333). I mean, he's gone farther than Mizushima Hiro has in the beginning of his career.

Hiro debut in 2005:
Extra, Gokusen 2
Supporting, Brother Beat
Episode 3 Lead, Pink no Idenshi (a late night crappy teenage drama)

In 2006,
Lead in Kabuto
Supporting: Lovely Complex, Hatsukare

2007:
Supporting: Watashitachi no Kyoukasho
Lead: Kanojo no Tadashii Asobi Kata
Supporting: Hana Kimi

2008
Lead, Prime Time Drama: Zettai Kareshi

Junpei debut in 2007
Hana Kimi, Extra

2008
Lead, Prime Time Drama: Hachi-One Diver

I wouldn't say Mizobata Junpei is a small fry just yet....

Why not let a someone debute as an actor in Kamen rider or sentai.
I think that kinda just sets them back a lot. I'm actually pretty surprised at how far Hiro's gotten. How many other tokusatsu actors, lead or not, actually have a decent career after their stint on a tokusatsu? I can think of two others, Odagiri Joe and whatshisfaceGaoSilver.

Because, as Takeru Satou said in an interview himself: " Kamen Rider is considered a step below a drama actor " ...

... but to add " But lately that mentality has begun to change "

The only established actor to take the dive into Toku was Hosokawa, aka Hibiki , but that was because he was a big Kamen Rider fan and it was a dream of his to act in one.

Tetsuji Tamayama is the only actor I can say that has established himself in the drama/movie world of Japan. If you don't know who he is, he's GaoSilver.

Shinji from Ryuki had a mild stint in his career in 2005 with movies but it seemed to have died down a bit.

GaoRed also had some mild success but he's mostly doing a lot of variety show appearances.

I honestly think that the reason why Hiro and Tetsuji has had the success that they've had is due to their appearance. They're not your average "beauty" if you know what I mean.... They're tall, have facial features that stand out, and have an appeal that attracts both young girls and older women.
