Star Trek: Generations footage of star drive explosion and saucer crash landing

Well after seeing these two clips, I hardly see any resemblance to both crashes. So I would say that the clips are more like a compare and contrast. They were both close, but i just missed that big rock and the Main Dome for Terra Venture separated from the engines. In other words, my answer would be and it still is, "No."

Does anybody think that the producers used "Star Trek: Generation"'s Enterprise-D saucer crash as the basis of Terra Venture's crash landing?

There might be a possibility. PRiS and PRLG borrowed from quite a number of sources from Star Wars to Beast Wars. I remember somebody pointing out that Villamax's refusal to fire because of honor mirrored Dinobot II's decision in the BW finale Nemesis
