Linking a PDF file to a Free website

It would be easier to help if you could elaborate/explain exactly what it is you need help with.

Right my bad.

Okay, so I have FanFics on word documents, that will soon be converted to PDF files. I just created a free website called freewebs. And I want to post my fanfics. But instead of copying and pasting the whole think. I rather just have it linked to the PDF files.

Catch my drift?

Better.

My immediate/initial guess is that you'd likely have to upload the PDF onto the server for your website and then just post it as a link. People then click the link and then DL or open up the PDF in their browser.

Does freewebs have a forum or a "user support" type of thing? If so they might be better equipped/more knowledgeable and thus be better able to help.

You can get add-ons for other word processing software as well (i.e. MS Word).

I use Webs myself (it's not called Freewebs any more), so once you have those PDF's ready, use the Single File Uploader utility to upload the files, then just link to them on the website. I can provide screenshots if you want. :)

Id love me some screenshots :)
OK. Log into your Webs account. Then select File Manager, Single File Uploader:
websupload.PNG

This screen will appear:
websupload2.PNG

Just Browse to find the file you want to upload, click on Upload File, and viola! It will appear in the file list:
websupload3.PNG

Now just add the link to that file to your webpage. I was uploading images (these screenshots, of course) but it will work for your PDF files as well.
