Does anyone know where this originally came from (other than the obvious- Bandai)? A friend gave this to me since he didn't wanna bring it with him on his move and i'm contemplating whether to keep it or not. It's pretty tall (almost 6 ft tall) and is a great conversation piece but is it even worth anything?

I believe it was a promotional stand for Toys-R-Us. I think some of them might have been given away by Bandai as well. But I'm pretty sure it was for store use. I seem to remember some old photos of a bunch of them standing together before being shipped out.
There was also one for the Red Wind Ranger (Ninja Storm). But only those two, that line of promotion was abandoned after NS.
The reality show "Pawn Stars" recently had an episode in which someone brought the NS one in. Well, just the figure and the non-removable helmet. The costume had been stripped. So the guy painted the body red and put white diamonds on it (MMPR like). I think they decided it was worthless.
But of course the PR fandom may pay for it. Find out how much it would take to ship to Omaha and then I'll make an offer
Back in 2003 there was this documentary where journalist Martin Bashir interviewed Michael Jackson. I remember that in one of the scenes of Jackson's playroom there was a model of the red Wild Force ranger.
You don't suppose your friend was friends with Michael Jackson? OK, I'm assuming that model is the same one Jackson had...it's probably very unlikely but when I saw the thread title that documentary popped into my mind.
