Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger

So just finished watching the only 31 subbed episodes I could find and have to say pretty good. It's funny how different it is to power rangers. Dragon Caeser was awesome. My only beef is that the actor who played Geki had a habit of smiling at inappropriate times. Zyuranger's also had a lot of instances of blood and people getting messed up. Even children would get bloodied up at times.

Yeah what you watched were not real subs. It was made up. What you watched was Zyuranger with fake writing put on top of it. Best to wait for a real sub then re-watch the entire series.

When's this "real sub" supposed to appear? Fake writing?
Worked fine for me. Now if you have anything substantive to contribute to the thread besides whatever point you are trying to make feel free. I rather have writing then none period.

King SO reminds me of someone from one of the other forums I go to, down to the kind of avatar. It's just so amusing.

Deleted my posts above. Some one pointed out it might have looked like I was attacking the original poster or calling him a liar. That wasn't the case. I should have expanded on what i meant about RRR. Either way, I have deleted my posts. Sorry about that.

So the difference between fake subs and real subs is that fake subs are just people pulling stuff out of their asses?
Kinda but not completely.

The people that do them, RRR in this case, would read episode summaries (albeit very detailed ones) and use their knowledge of the language to do the rest. When you watch the episode, you're not missing anything major, the story beats and big moments were all presented just fine in the episodes that I saw, it's just that...you're not getting a word for word translation. Now, dude who does this isn't fluent in the language, but I believe he's said that he's been taking classes for about a year and a half or so when he started Zyuranger. Often times what the characters say and what the subtitles say carry the same meaning, but they aren't really translations of what's being said...stuff like "his strength is unbelievable!" compared to "this guy's stronger than anyone we've ever faced!" and so on. (and sometimes they are totally off, but no worse than the sort of flubs TV-Nihon made in their Zyuranger episodes)

Essentially they're...interactive episode summaries. If you want to use them, yeah, go for it, but just do so under the knowledge that what you're getting is really only giving you the general idea of an episode and not a full on translation.

Also, Kinasin, if you like watching older shows, I would recommend Liveman, it's recently been completed by Grown Ups in Spandex and they do a pretty awesome job.

There was a sub group that was doing ZyuRanger. Last I saw, they had done up to episode 9 or 10, but this was at least 3 years ago, and I can't remember the name of the group or know if they're still around.
