the trailer for this movie is out. i didnt know this movie stars the awesomeness that is Johnny Yong Bosch. nice to see him be a leading man and kicking some ass. the choreography seen in here is what we see in PR but for this type of film, it looks like it works much better. i got a-Jet Li's "Unleashed" vibe when we finally see Johnny's character snap and was fighting back against the bad guys. the only question i have now is when it will get released....

The trailer's been out for over a year. I remember first hearin about it when JDF mentioned it at an anime con shortly after PMC last year. But yeh, its kinda old.

Wonder when its coming to DVD. cuz I still really wanna see it.

It's out, it's just not... out. HKFlix had a DVD listing on their site for a while but I think they were jumping the gun since there's not an official DVD release yet.

If you mean HK-influenced, yes. But Koichi's got a much wider range than what you just see in PR, and his inspirations for the action direction in Broken Path seem to be plentiful. It's definitely much more brutal and true to Alpha Stunts' roots than anything you'd see in PR.

If you want to see JYB in an action starring role, check out Extreme Heist/Wicked Game, also directed by Koichi. It's a horrible movie, but the stunts are hot like July.

I checked IMDB and I dont see any connection between him and Mortal Kombat. Wonder why the wrote it?

Maybe he was a gaffer or extra or some really miniscule part of the production, but he didn't have anything to do with the stunts either in execution or coordination. That was all Pat Johnson and Robin Shou.
