...
- Andros was the star of the show. Andros sucked.
- Andros also had no real background. Why was he a Ranger? How did he know Zordon? He appeared to be the same age as the others, but has apparently been flying around in the Astro Megaship for years.
- The Turbo Rangers personalities disappeared. TJ was no longer the cool, calm, collected Red Ranger; he was the apparently-dead Blue Ranger. Ashley went from High School girl to requisite love interest. Ashley and Carlos, outside of one or two episodes (... wasn't there a Phantom Ranger ep? And Carlos' was the return of Adam), had nothing special
- The Astro Megaship/Megazord. That's not a Megazord, that's a giant transformer.
- The Rangers should not have had uniforms and gone on various missions. They're an autonomous unit (seperated from Zordon, Dimitria, and any other ranger sects), and had no reason to be in uniform. They were not the CREW of the Megaship, they were one guy who had a sweet ride and four guys from Earth who know jack about space ("You're earthern Rangers... you don't know anything about space") who had one goal: to find Zordon, which admittedly, they maybe met once, and in passing. Would Tommy have the drive for an entire season to save Princess Shayla? Nope. Not that the Rangers should completely ignore Zordon, but go find him, get that done, and deal. You Rangers screwed your Megazords up and lost your base. Game Over.
- Were the Rangers still in High School? Why the hell are we watching Bulk, Skull, and Prof. if the Rangers never actually come in contact with these three? Why the hell did they all decided to start going to a different juice bar/why did Lt. Stone sell the Juice Bar to some unfunny Adelle?
- Confusing power sources. What were the Astro Morphers powered by? If they were self-sustaining, why did Zordon not use these for the original powers? If they were powered by the Astro Megaship... that'd be just stupid.
- Missed oppurtunities. You're in space against the Universal Alliance of Evil. Have Zedd or Count Dregon or Master Vile or Divatox send a monster once a week. Fight a legion of COGS on the homeworld of the Machine Empire.
- Aesthetically, the series just looked bland. No reverance for the past- yeah, the Power Chamber was destroyed; doesn't mean that there couldn't have been souveneirs in the rubble. The Juice Bar was gone as we knew it. Bulk and Skull were still there, but not really. Lt. Stone and Mrs. Applebee and the Principal and the original voice of Alpha 6 and the regular hangouts and the old allies were gone.
This is not to say Space didn't have good points. The return of Adam, and naturally the Countdown, were awesome. But the rest was very "meh".
