Anyone remember this show, or at least have heard of it?

It was a kid's game show that combined RPG elements, an evolving universe, "Ninja Warrior"-esque difficulty (only 8 teams out of 80 teams total, of 8 seasons actually won), and chroma-key backgrounds and effects for immersion. It was quite good for it's time.
