Kikkawa Koji announces his marriage

Singer Kikkawa Koji (45) is now a married man. He and his wife registered their marriage on Wednesday, June 1, after about four years of dating. It was also revealed that he is already a father.

Kikkawa’s wife is a woman in her 40s whose work is related to the medical field. She is said to be about 150 centimeters tall, compared to Kikkawa who is 182 centimeters tall. The two met a long time ago and were friends for a while, but they started seriously dating around 2007.

The two already have a child together, who is reportedly around 2 or 3 years old. Despite being parents, they remained unmarried, but around the start of this year, it appears that Kikkawa began re-evaluating his life. Then after the Tohoku earthquake, he was heavily involved in volunteering and charity work, and that seems to have been a factor in his decision to finally tie the knot.

Kikkawa and guitarist Hotei Tomoyasu (49) also recently reunited as the band Complex, 21 years after their breakup. They have two concerts scheduled at the Tokyo Dome on July 30-31. Kikkawa also has a solo concert coming up on October 30 at the Yokohama Arena.
