The Keeper’s Diary now available for free on Youtube! Calling all S.T.A.R.S. veterans and zombie aficionados! Have you braved the chilling thrills of “The Keeper’s Diary,” a free Resident Evil fan film lurking on YouTube courtesy of Residence of Evil? Directed by Andrew Saullo, a devotee whose passion burns brighter than a Molotov cocktail (Biohazard Declassified and Black Ridge Media Productions), this short flick proves that love for the source material can be downright infectious. Let’s be honest, Capcom’s crown jewel, Resident Evil, seems stuck in a cinematic T-Virus trap. The live-action attempts by Constantine Films and Sony, from the Alice-centric features to the recent “Welcome to Raccoon City,” have left fans with a hankering for a more faithful adaptation. I still have PTSD from that awful live action Resident Evil Tv show that thankfully got cancelled. The Last of Us serves as a chilling reminder of the power of respecting the source, while Fallout shows how an original story can thrive when it respectfully nods to its roots.

Wow, I just finished watching "The Keeper's Diary" on YouTube, and it hit all the right nostalgic notes! Andrew Saullo totally nailed it. I grew up playing Resident Evil on my PlayStation, and this fan film feels like a love letter to us old-school fans. Remembering those disturbing moments when I first read "Itchy... Tasty..." brought back all the feels.

I’ve always felt the Constantine Films and Paul W.S. Anderson movies missed the mark. They felt more like action blockbusters than true horror stories. "Welcome to Raccoon City" had potential but still didn’t capture the essence of the games. It's refreshing to see something that sticks closer to the creepy vibe and emotional depth of the original Resident Evil games.

The casting in "The Keeper's Diary" was spot on, too. Seeing Charlie Kraslavsky back was a real treat.. It’s cool that they kept it grounded and true to the game’s spirit, even without a huge budget. If you're a fan, you’ve got to check it out. It's a gem in the rough that outshines the high-budget disappointments we've been stuck with.

OMG, The original Chris Redfield!

It's so frustrating that Capcom never seems to listen to us fans when it comes to making Resident Evil and Street Fighter movies. They keep giving these awesome franchises to directors and writers who don't really get it. The movies they've made so far, like the ones by Constantine Films and Paul W.S. Anderson, just didn't do justice to the games. They focused too much on action and missed out on the creepy atmosphere and deep storylines that make Resident Evil so great.

Sweet! A Resident Evil fan film, huh? I've been playing the newer Resident Evil games forever, but I never actually got around to playing the original. Is this fan film based on the first game? The diary entries about the scientist turning into a monster sound pretty messed up though, right up my alley! I gotta check this out.

The Paul W.S. Anderson Resident Evil movies were a slap in the face to the franchise. Alice was a Mary Sue nightmare, sucking all the air out of the room for beloved characters like Jill and Claire. The horror elements were sacrificed at the altar of brainless action.

Welcome to Raccoon City was a dumpster fire. Leon was reduced to a bumbling buffoon, and the race-swapping felt like a cynical marketing ploy instead of thoughtful casting. Trying to cram RE1, 2, and 3 into one movie was pure nonsense. RE2 and 3 happened practically at the same time, while RE1 was months before! The filmmakers clearly didn't respect the source material.

The video, despite being lengthy at 20 minutes, surpasses most live-action RE films combined. "The Keeper's Diary" fan film available on YouTube is exceptional. Andrew Saullo did an outstanding job with this production. The film captures the true Resident Evil spirit with its atmosphere, casting, and attention to detail.

So happy to see this as an original RE fan! "The Keeper's Diary" on YouTube is amazing. Way better than those Constantine Films and Paul W.S. Anderson movies. They never got what made Resident Evil cool.

Andrew Saullo and his team really get it. The casting of Charlie Kraslavsky was perfect. It felt just like the game with all the right creepy vibes.

This fan film shows that real fans know how to make a great Resident Evil story. Big studios should learn from this. If you love Resident Evil like I do, you’ve got to watch it. It’s a real treat for us fans.
