[CASTING CALLS] Kamen Rider: W, OOO, Fourze: Legacy

Ziginz Zegell

No Fear, No Pain.
“In our era, science has been used to do much good, but also much harm. While most of us who would call ourselves scientists use our skills and talents for good, their will always be those who abuse our creations and discoveries in pursuit of selfish, if not misguided goals. This is doubly worse when the ones misusing these advances are those that we liken unto ourselves; fellow researchers. Thus I am proposing the creation of an organization that would fight fire with fire; science with science. When our enemies create a weapon that threatens humanity, we create a weapon to oppose it. When those that would do harm twist an idea into something malicious, we restore it and use it to force them back. Such a group should be kept small, but be filled with brilliant minds and capable bodies. I feel that such a collection of individuals would ensure the safety of our world for generations to come. I only hope that a day will come when such a group would not be needed, but until that day comes we will need heroes to defend us. I pray for such heroes, past, present, and future; for our fate is in their hands.”

Professor Minato Mori: Founder of the Guild.

Kamen Rider X Kamen Rider X Kamen Rider

W, OOO, Fourze:

Legacy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 1969, a Japanese Scientist named Minato Mori was researching breaking edge cybernetic technology that he intended to be used to help paralytics recover from their conditions. Unfortunately, the Japanese government saw the benefits of humans altered with Professor Mori’s technology and took his research, which was being partially funded by the military. Mori was under the impression that the military would use his research to help recovering soldiers. Mori was later quoted as saying “I was a juvenile fool…but my innocence was what led me to that field of research in the first place.” The military gave Professor Mori’s research to their special operations and research division codenamed Shocker. In 1971, Shocker broke off from the main military and declared itself an independent faction, much to the surprise of the government. The military dispatched troops to deal with the rebellion but were horrified by what awaited them on Shocker’s island base. Shocker had altered and brain washed most of the soldiers under their command with a mix of genetic and cybernetic technology. Though out numbered a hundred to one, the shocker warriors defeated the military attack force and their entire island vanished beneath the waves. Over the next several months the rebelious group launched many successful terrorist actions and assassinated dozens of political figures both within and outside Japan.

In their desperation, the Japanese government turned to Mori, whose technology was the bases for Shocker’s altered humans. He refused to help, commenting that the military had dug their own graves. His daughter reminded him that he was being just as irresponsible as the military had been by not helping defeat shocker. Remembering the number of lives at stake and considering what a world ruled by shocker would be like, Professor Mori agreed to help, but only under the condition that he choose the individuals to be cybernized himself. He chose one of his college students, a brilliant and athletic young man of valor and courage named Hongo, to become the first cyborg hero code named Hopper 1. Though called Hopper 1 by the military, the public came to affectionately call their new hero Kamen Rider. With the help of Hongo, and eventually an enemy cyborg created in Hongo’s image who defected from Shocker to fight against them, the Japanese Military was able to put an end to Shocker. Over the next several years, Professor Mori helped to bring about many more Kamen Riders to fight organizations that threatened the world time and time again. It was during this time that the Professor set the foundations for what has come to be called the Guild; an organization that would create new Kamen Riders in times of great need. Professor Mori passed away in 2002 at the age of eighty two, leaving the Guild in control of his grand daughter, Sakuya Kusanagi. Sakuya is a genius in her own right and has continued preparing the Guild should it ever be needed.

In 2005, three facilities controlled by three separate organizations were attacked and had irreplaceable research stolen from them. The Over Space Technology Organization’s lunar research facility, called rabbit hatch, was attacked by an unknown group and was all but destroyed. At the same time, the Kougami Foundation’s historical research facility was also attacked; the culprits stealing a number of circular, stone slabs within which were supposedly rare medals. Finally, a research group called Museum, who were studying a phenomenon they called "The Well", had its largest lab raided and valuable pieces of technology stolen. In response to these attacks the three groups contacted Sakuya and made formal requests that Guild become active. Once she was briefed on the situation at hand, Sakuya gathered a very small team of researchers and scientists to created new riders capable of combating the approaching threat, who or whatever it might be. In 2012, the increase in “Kaijin” activity has forced the Guild to recruit a number of fresh recruits to become the new generation of Kamen Riders. Though these individuals have been chosen for specific reasons, it is unclear if any of them will be able to become the heroes the world needs. However, history has shown us time and time again how an average person can become the hero of an age. Especially when that hero is a Kamen Rider.

----------------------------------------

Yeah kinda complex aint it? Though not really, well maybe, but I like complex sometimes. Anyway!!!!

This is a RP cross over for Kamen Rider W, OOO, and Fourze based on a mild science police concept. I still have quite a bit of ground to cover so let’s start with the rules as if HJURP tradition:

1: No God Moding, also an HJU Tradition.

2: No Sex. Romance is allowed…but don’t take things too far. This is a public forum ya know.

3: Don’t start ****, and there won’t be ****. In other words treat each other with respect.

4: Posts should be a decent length and include emotional states of the characters, and enough information for the next person to write up a meaningful post. One liners are forbidden! (Joke one liners in a long post are allowed…you very well know what I mean…)

5: No controlling other people’s characters or NPCs without first getting permission. For NPCs ask me. For other player’s characters you should talk to them.

6: Work together…plan out posts if you feel like you should, and don’t make any huge changes to the RP world without running it through me and your fellow players first.

7: Don’t stress, the rules aren’t as strict as they sound and I am very open minded to new ideas and concepts. Don’t worry about giving out every detail of every post, but if you think your post might change the game big time, then at least let me know via PM.

8: Bios should be made to impress me; both to show your skills as an RPer and a character creator. Wow me.

9: If you don’t post within a given amount of time (usually two weeks) then I will take control of your character to keep the story going. If you come back then you can continue as your character, of course. If you disappear a second time then things might get more complicated and your character might not be yours anymore when you get back.

Alright now that the rules are out of the way here is…well…more rules I suppose. These are in regards to your character bios.

Alright first of all I am only excepting four players into this game because, well, I like a small party. That being said I am excepting as many Bios as I get so even if four people have already applied, don’t feel like you won’t get in. I go by quality, not first come first serve. While I will eventually allow for the creation of civilian and villain characters by my four players, the first characters need to be our riders. While there will be a lot of riders in this RP, we will be starting out with four with others added on as time passes. Now all the character will have been brought into the guild one month prior to the start of the RP and will have only a few of their options available. Each will have fought at least one foe. Also there is no gender limitations except for Nadeshiko. That system was designed specifically for a female; while all the other systems were designed to adjust to their user. The characters are only referred to as masculine in the info section to save time and make for easier reading.

OOO: His first opponent was the Mantic Yummy and he has access to Taka, Tora, and Bata at first but will get medals very soon after the story begins. He hasn’t had contact with any of the Greeed, nor is their any info about them other then what is available in legends. (which amounts to them being monsters made from medals that make more monsters made form medals. More info later) (Taken)

W: W will only have Cyclone and Joker to start with but will get more memories pretty quickly. He has fought the Magma dopant and knows a little about the unrefined memories. Now you can do the traditional two person double with one being the mind and the other the body, but you will need to write separate bios for them both and one will need to have access to the Earth’s Library for a while. Alternatively you can have W be one person, but he still needs to have had access to Earth’s Library for at least a short time. Either way the character gains the memories and driver from the Guild.

Fourze: His first foe was the Chameleon zodiarts and his connection to fourze could be anything from a parent, friend, or loved one on rabbit hatch, to having a unique connection to cosmic energy. Either way the character gains the switches and driver from the Guild upon joining. He or she will have been with the guild for only a month.

Nadeshiko: The Duos system was one of two prototypes for Fourze used to test the completed “first wave” of combat use astro switches. The system was designed originally to be used by Mari Masaki who tested the system for several months. She was injured during testing and the system was to be scraped but was “rescued” at the last second by Sakuya Kusanagi. Sakuya completed the system to act as support for Fourze by a capable, female user. Nadeshiko can use all the arms switches but may or may not be able to do state changes (we can discuses it if you have an idea for making it work). Unfortunately she doesn’t have leg switch slots nor a limit break function though those may be added in as the story progresses. Regardless, she will get the Rocket State as some point in the story to use as she sees fit alongside fourze. Her first opponent was the Orion Zodiarts. She will have been with the Guild for at least three months. (Nadeshiko was the name Mari gave to the Duos system because it reminded her of the clean beauty of a woman, such as herself) (In other words she thought it made her look sexy…she is that kind of girl…as you will come to understand. If you want you can even call it Duos if you would like. Up to you.)

Proto Birth: The system was deigned to act as a support system for OOO utilizing cell medals instead of cores. The Guild has learned the secret for developing call medals from the Kougami foundation, but can only make them in very limited amounts. Proto Birth only has the crane arm and breast cannon but will eventually be upgraded into the complete version of birth. His/her first foe was the Moth Yummy and he/she will have been with the guild for at least three months.

Wow…Nadeshiko’s info turned out more complicated then I thought. Oh well, OOO, W, and Fourze have to have players with either Nadeshiko or Proto Birth being taken by our fourth. Now after you’ve been accepted into the game you can take a whack at playing the remaining rider, but you will have to fill out a bio that I like. This will be the case every time a new rider is to be introduced; the players get first dibs. Also if you want the character’s history and personality to stay secret then PM them to me and post what you want the other players to know about him or her. So what else…right, a template!

Errata: (I hope I’m using that word correctly)

The Guild:

The Guild Hall, which acts as the Guild’s H.Q., is located in a large bunker beneath the “Blue World Café” in the city of Futto, Japan. The hall is currently separated into seven areas within which the few guild members work to improve the capabilities of their assigned riders, or finding new ways to combat the current threats. To that end they are also working with a complex information network to find out more about who the real enemy is. These are the general area of the guild:

Hangar 1: This large area is where much of the Gaia memory research is done and where all of W’s gear is constructed. (Pretty much the Revolgarry hanger from the series.) A hidden door way leads deep down into a recently dug out chamber where a “Gaia Fountain” has been set up. Though not suited for mass producing memories, the fountain is perfect for creating a few, well refined memories. The hangar is home to Kotone Hibiki, daughter of the Gaia Memory’s creator, Tsukihi Hibiki.

Hangar 2: An area redesigned to mimic the main Astro Switch research lab of Rabbit Hatch. (Do I really need to tell you what area it looks like? Dirp I say!) An Astro Switch Board and Charger are set up in a nook at the side of the chamber as is an area for Fourze to test his new switches. Since Cosmic energy is hard to come by on earth, a self automated satellite called M.B.U.S. occasionally “beams down” cosmic energy to recharge the equipment within the lab. This process is very carefully monitored to ensure no one manages to track the beam to the Guild Hall’s location. Masanori Tsurugi is almost always found here doing some sort of work on the astro switches, or researching Cosmic Energy. Mari is also often found here working on a new Foodroid for Fourze or the other riders to utilize.

Lab 1: One of two labs in the hall used for research of any kind. This particular lab has been geared toward researching O medals and equipment for assisting OOO. (Dr. Maki’s initial lab. Let’s hope things turn out better then last time eh?) Within the lab is a “Forge” used by ancient alchemists to create the first medals. It has been refit with modern technology and can be used to create cell medals in small quantities, though, with time, it should be able to produce new cores for OOO. (It is also possible that it will forge new cores for him sooner then later, depending on how I decide to do things.) These are the stomping grounds of the self proclaimed “Modern day Alchemist”, Oswald Black.

Lab 2: The second lab within the guild hall. This particular lab is used exclusively by Sakuya Kusanagi. What goes on in the lab is a mater of debate, but anyone caught to close to even the door of the lab is summarily punished by Sakuya with any number of blunt objects available to her.

Library: A rather large library filled with many reference books and texts from various periods of history. This are is used by just about everyone, both for scientific and historical research.

Back Office: An office sometimes used by Sakuya for official business, the small room is furnished with a few chairs and a cluttered desk. The office was used for a long time by a former member of the guild; Daisuke Joe, who died in battle under the alias of Kamen Rider Skull. His hat remains on the back wall of the office as a constant reminder of a good man.

Central Area: A large, open area set up with a circular table and chairs where the members of the Guild hold their meetings. More often then not, however, the area is used as a lounge by the Guild Members with a number of other chairs and sofas that have been dragged in over time. A large monitor was set up at some point, but has since stopped functioning. It would probably be easy enough to repair, but no one is willing to take the time to do so. To that end a smaller, less extravagant television set has been set up in front of it until further notice.

------------------------------

Guild Members:

Sakuya Kusanagi: Grand Daughter of the famous, if not infamous, Professor Minato Mori. Like her grandfather, Sakuya believes in a better tomorrow through scientific research and accumulation of knowledge. She does take many traits from her mother as well, however, and knows that those with power should always stand up for justice, love, and hope. A genius in her own right, Sakuya is responsible for helping develop most of the rider machines as well as giving input regarding her fellow researchers various projects. She is always enthralled with one secret experiment or another that she keeps secret from her fellows. Though secretive and stern, Sakuya acts as something of a “team mom”, keeping everyone in line while also giving helpful advice on occasion.

Masanori Tsurugi: Former member of the OSTO, and one of the foremost experts on Cosmic Energy, Masanori is also the only known survivor of the Rabbit Hatch incident. Originally the protégé of Professor Kenta Minako, the man who first discovered cosmic energy, Masanori would eventually follow his mentor into space to assist him in the Astro Switch research being done on the moon. After Rabbit Hatch, Masanori was reluctant to return to earth, claiming he could salvage his mentor’s work within the surviving chamber of the base. When he did return home, Masanori wasn’t sure what to do with his life and felt like an alien on his own soil. Sakuya found him and brought the distraught man to the Guild Hall where she showed him something that left him flabbergasted. Within one of the facility’s hangars was an exact replica of the astro switch lab left on the moon. Masanori was then informed of the current threat and how the attack had been to steal the research and prototypes from Rabbit Hatch. What worsem there was a good chance the stolen research was being used to create some sort of twisted version of the Astro Switches. Infuriated, Masanori agreed to do his part to help, and began working on what would become Foruze that very same day.

[hide] Zeb.avif [/hide]

Mari Minako: A spunky and light hearted young woman, Mari is the eldest daughter of Professor Kenta Minako. Though not as brilliant as her father, Mari knows a thing or two about robotics and was brought on board by Masanori as a lab assistant. She understand enough of her late father’s work to help Masanori in the lab and was one of the first people to test the prototype astro switches. However, an error on her part led to her being injured and nearly led to the prototype Duos system being scraped. She pleaded to Sakuya Kusanagi in secret to save “Nadeshiko” as it was her recklessness that caused the accident, and the system was ‘far too cute to just be taken apart”. Though Mari recovered and the system was repaired, the young woman no longer felt fit to be a Kamen Rider. She agreed to train the next user of “Nadeshiko” and continues to help Masanori in his research while also acting as something of a mascot for the guild. She is very close friends with Kotone as both have similar back grounds, and has a crush on Oswald. Masanori is like her older brother, thus leading them into many childish squabbles. She also acts as a “Mission Coordinator” when the need arises; relaying information between the riders and Guild staff during complicated missions.

Kotone Hibiki: Kotone lived the normal life of a teenage girl, until one evening her mother came home near dead with a brief case in her hand and terrible injuries all over her body. She said her good byes to her daughter, gave Kotone the brief case with instructions to give it to the girl’s father, and disappeared into the night. Shortly afterward, Kotone’s estranged father, Daisuke Joe, found Kotone and took her to the guild where she would be safe. Joe revealed that Tsukihi had been part of an organization that was developing Gaia Memories, but that her lab was attacked by another organization who were after the memories. Within the brief case were a prototype driver and much of Tsukhi’s research in digital form. Kotone was always very bright and quickly caught on to her mother’s other wise bizarre concepts. With Sakuya’s help, has been able to continue where her mother left off and at the young age of twenty one is considered one of the leading authorities on Gaia Memory research. Even after her father passed away, Kotone remembers what he and her mother stood for and fights on to set things right in the world.

Oswald Black: A mysterious man who was hired by the Kougami foundation to research the O medals and find a way to recreate them. Using a mix of Alchemy and modern Technology, Oswald had began to unlock the secrets of the medals, and even shed new light on their ancient creator; the Alchemist king and his four companions. Oswald was making great progress until Kougami’s Biotech Laboratory, where Oswald was working, was raided by a strange mutant and several other unusual individuals. Though Oswald was able to escape with a fare share of his research, a few core medals, and the King’s Seal, many of the original core medals and ancient documents were stolen and the lab was all but destroyed. Oswald didn’t let the loss slow him down and faced the new obstacle as a challenge. He recreated most of the lost records and documents from memory and had Kougami set him up with a new lab. Before he could get back to work, Oswald received word from his benefactors that he was to work with the Guild in creating new ways to combat whatever threat the lost medals and research might produce. Oswald happily agreed and began working on restoring the King’s Seal so that a new OOO could be born in the current era.

Enemies:

Greeed: The greeed are a lot different in this RP, though I don’t want to give away too much info since it is relevant to the story. A set of greeed did exist before, but the current greeed are not they. Instead a new set of greeed have appeared, though their origins will remain unknown until a bit later in the game. That being said when they do appear they will have the appearance of their in series “complete forms”. They aren’t actually complete; however, thus they aren’t as powerful. My reasons for doing this are mostly aesthetic; I liked the concept of the incomplete forms, but I like the look and feel of the complete forms even more. So if a greeed appears in their “complete form” that doesn’t mean they have all their medals, and thus won’t necessarily pick your characters apart. Yummy will still function the same, so be ready to collect some medals.

Zodiarts: Unlike the series from whence they hale, the Zodiarts will be treated more like Dopants in that more then one “switcher” may draw power from the same constellation. What does this mean; it means there could be multiple Orions, Canis Majors, etc. The exception to this is the Horoscopes; their can only ever be one of each at any given time. That is the only major difference at this point.

Dopants: Function the same as their series counterparts, though certain individuals may have greater physical strain from using their memories. A few may even find it difficult to turn back to normal the more they use a memory.

Mutants: A matter best saved for later, but their will be a few enemies who appear that don’t fit into the categories mentioned above.

-------------------------------------------

More info will be added later, so keep an eye open for more details about the world around your characters.

Maybe I should give it a try? *thinks about participating*
Nah, by the time I decide, all the good roles will be taken...

I gotta admit, I'm rusty on my RP abilities. I haven't RPed in almost half a year. But I saw your thread and decided that I'd try to take part.

Name: Keila West
Age: 21
Appearance: Keila stands at a modest five-foot-seven with a bookworm build. Her hair is black with little natural curl; she keeps it cut short, near the base of her neck, to hinder its ability to distract. Her face has more or less completely matured, having lost most of its heart shape, and features a strong nose, gentle cheeks and thin lips. Her eyes are shielded by a pair of black glasses, colored a coal gray and rounded into an almond shape.

Recently, she has begun to gain a bit of muscle due to physical exercise, but for the most part her limbs are thin and wiry. She's more agile than strong. She tends to dress professionally, sporting a violet sleeveless blouse and dark gray, knee-length skirt beneath a white lab coat. Experience has taught her that sneakers are to be preferred over heels as she may need to do a lot of running at a moment's notice.

Rider Designation: Kamen Rider OOOs/Masked Rider/ Os

History: Keila never expected to be a hero, much less a Kamen Rider. Hers was a fairly traditional American life. She did well in school, put herself through a university, and did what was possible to get ahead in life. Her motivation for this was rather simple: family. Family was exalted among her relatives and Keila had that teaching ingrained in her at an early age. Her father and mother never quite managed to get ahead in life, and sacrificed quite a bit to give Keila a chance in the world. Keila respected their endeavors and quietly decided that, whatever field she entered, she would earn enough to care for her parents when the time came.

Eventually, she scored a job at a company called Rayston Advance. There she was exposed to some research of the interesting variety. The technology that Rayston was investigation was almost alchemical-- but a workable alchemy. Eventually, she learned that Rayston Advance was a subsidiary of the Kougami Foundation.

Fascinated by this technology, Keila threw herself into her work. Her dedication did not go unnoticed, and her superiors eventually set her up as a part of an exchange program. One of Kougami's top researchers would be coming to oversee development of Rayston and Keila would head to Japan to join Kougami. The fact that a high level scientist would be swapped for a novice was strange to Keila, but she chose not to question her good fortune.

Upon arriving in Japan, Keila was surprised to find herself in a face to face meeting with Kougami. He struck her as a slightly eccentric individual who seemed interested in her desires and heritage. Keila was assigned to work on the OOOs project and she found herself enjoying the work. This held until the lab was assaulted and razed to the ground.

Keila managed to escape and join up with Oswald Black. Desperate to recreate OOOs, the two renewed their efforts with vigor. But small, key pieces of the puzzle eluded them. Then, they caught a break. Archeologists uncovered writings leftover from the Alchemist King. Keila and Oswald traveled to the site of the dig and began translating the ruins.

When they had nearly completed the OOOs Driver, a second disaster struck. The Mantic Yummy assaulted the camp and tried to take their findings. Keila and Oswald tried to take their research and flee, but found themselves cornered. In desperation, Oswald gave Keila the Driver and walked her through utilizing it to transform.

Somehow, Keila won that first battle-- but her fate had forever changed. No more could she be content as a scientist, now she had to enter the field of battle and defend the world from this new threat. Now, she was Kamen Rider OOOs.

Personality: Keila's a bookworm. She's quiet and methodical, more apt to develop plans and strategies for whatever task lay ahead rather than wade in unprepared. If she had it her way, Keila would rather remain a scientist and study the various monsters that have started plaguing the world. But that is not the fate that destiny had in store for her: she is needed more as OOOs than a researcher.

For the most part, Keila has accepted this role. She doesn't fully understand why it has to be this way, but realizes that the only way she can find answers about OOOs is to enter the war. A part of her has begun to suspect that Kougami had some kind of ulterior motive for bringing her to Japan. Was it to turn her into OOOs? She isn't sure yet, and without proof she won't raise any accusations.

Keila is just as methodical in battle as she is in the lab. She tends to fight defensively, analyzing her opponents for a weak point or means of counterattack. Since becoming OOOs, Keila has realized the need to learn to be a warrior. She has begun learning martial arts and differing ways to fight. Keila strives to learn all that she can about the different powers that the Core Medals posses so that she can utilize them to their full effectiveness in the field.

Extra Info:
` Keila is rather detached from her surroundings, and throughout the course of the RP I intend for her to develop into a character more involved in people's lives.

` Keila is a descendant of the Alchemist King, although she isn't aware of this information just yet. Needless to say, this part of the reason why Kougami set her up to become OOOs.

` While she will respond to either designation, Keila prefers the moniker 'Masked Rider' over 'Kamen Rider'. Given her lack of Japanese heritage, she feels odd utilizing such a legendary title.

Relationships:
` Her parents. She is very close to them.
` Oswald Black. Their relationship is fairly professional.

here I was sitting around enjoying my Pokemon white, and when I come to check on things...I find this very nice profile waiting for me. Let this act as an example to others of what I like to see: Not a carbon copy of the original, woven into events neatly, makes me want to throw interactions at her. Solo, assuming you are willing to wait for an unknown amount of time for three other players, you are officially Keila West/ Kamen Rider OOO. Looking forward to RPing with ya.
