Kamen Rider Stronger - Talk Up

Since Midnight Crew Subs is now subbing Stronger, it's given me a good excuse to actually start watching this show, so I figure that there's no better time to start a thread about it than now.

- I hope Tackle gets to be more useful later in the series. Yes, it's the 70's in Japan, which even today is not as progressive about feminism as most of the western world, but she got owned twice in the first episode alone. C'mon, girl, you're the first female Rider (**** what Toei says, she is), kick some ass out there.

- Titan is the best villain ever. His kaijin form has a giant, one eyed blue head and a SMOKING JACKET. And he just uses this form to chill in his hotel room. He's like a wonderful Bond villain.

- Shigeru is a nice change of pace for Showa riders, who often feel kind of angsty and tragic to me. He's just like, "Yeah, I'm a cyborg now. S'cool, I get to fight evil and ****. It was my plan from the start anyway."

Stronger is a great rider series namely because it was meant to be the last so it had some great efforts put into making its cast and characters lovable, aside from that its just a great example of the Showa riders and what they stand for.

Black satan will be defeated and be replaced by the Delza army.

General shadow will join the delza army

Riders Ichigo, Nigo, V3, Riderman, X, Amazon, Stronger will team up against the Delza army and face off the Dai shuryo

This was meant to be the final show, hence the epic ending!

This is Midnight Crew's translation, at any rate. It's somewhat embellished, but I really like the translation nonetheless.

Yeah, Stronger has the biggest helmet of the Riders. He can't move as well as the previous Riders.

It's one of my favorite series, from the moment I started watching it, it had a style that instantly caught my heart...

I like it, it defines Kamen Rider. And everyone ends up becoming a lovable character. The only flaw I see with this show is the new role of Oyassan as comic relief, although he gets MUCH more serious near the end.

I'm glad MCS decided to sub this, it's a great series and it's worth anyone's time. Follower of Kamen Rider or not.

One of the reasons why I Shigeru is way better compared to Tendou even if most fans consider Shigeru as a Souji Tendou prototype. :thumbs:

One thing that bothered me with Stronger is the fact that Tachibana Tobei likes to stay in his jeep. What happened to him? Why he suddenly acted like a hobo... while wearing a Mexican outfit?! (Which is cool BTW)
